Enjoying some of his guitar work on you tube and saw this clip (Emmitt Rhodes’ “Time Will Show the Wiser” with early Fairport) and this recent one- can anyone name the other musicians in both, especially the drummer in the newer one- (is he the same guy who did the Killer Kane New York Dolls reunion concert?). All I have is Judy Dyble and Ian Matthews singing in the first. Thanks all.
The video line-up for Fairport Convention, founded in 1967, was Ashley Hutchings (bass), Simon Nicol (guitar), Richard Thompson (guitar), Judy Dyble (vocals), Martin Lamble (drums), and Iain Matthews (vocals).
Although I was unaware of any Fairport connection, I would have sworn that was Roger Waters playing guitar in the back.
I don’t know, but this clip looks to be from the same show and gives credit to Michael Jerome, Danny Thompson, Richard Thompson and Pete Zorn. Google gave me this website which narrows it considerably.
