This list has the potential to get incredibly long, with Dopers and non-Dopers alike on it. Heck, it could even be an ongoing kind of thing as I think of people whom I’ve forgotten. If I don’t specifically say that I love the person, it’s automatically implied. Oh, and I do indeed mean platonic love… not the other kind.
So for now… here is my very incomplete list in no particular order:
my brother Jon: You just rock, and I’m not just saying this coz you’re my bro! (note I didn’t mention Steph in here :p)
my Colorado friend Corey: I love your humor and perspective on things, and it’s always fun talking to you. (too bad I can only do so about once a week, since ICQ crashed out on this computer) Though I really must say that trying to get me to watch gross horror stuff that you know I’ll never watch is quite another thing altogether.
Spoz: Dude… I just love you, man. (humor, goofiness, cool amusing nicknames, willingness to let me bug ya whenever I feel like it, great stories, etc.) You never fail to cheer me up with your goofy humor. Even a few days ago when I was going through an emotional funk, still you made me chuckle. In my opinion, that’s very valued “friendship quality.” You put up with big, fluffy words / my being a “double-post Nazi” / my rambling / SO much else… thank you.
By the way, Those pictures on your site are something else!
my Calgary friend Darren: I love you and your humor, the crazy updates you bring to me, the space you give me to express myself, your compliments, and the cheery feeling I get from talking to you. We can talk about anything, and I like that.
my very special church friends Phil, Nathan, Helen K., Lauren, Andrea, Karen C., Damiel, and Irene: You all know a lot about the bad times in my life, and have supported me unstintingly and unwaveringly… may God bless you all richly
the other members of my church community that I’ve gotten to know fairly well: You are each important to me in your own way, and I am honored to know you
my friend Yazmine: Our friendship has been truly great, and I definitely like spending time with you. We’ve complained, laughed, helped each other… I definitely love you a lot.
Ice Wolf: It’s been terrific getting to know you. Thank you for the advice you’ve given me over email / ICQ, and for the times when we’ve just chatted about stuff. I love you, and hope that our friendship will continue to grow.
TLD: I definitely have enjoyed getting to know you, and I hope we can continue. I’ve loved the chats we’ve had, and the humor you’ve used in tough situations. By the way, how do I know you’re cute if I haven’t seen your picture?
(and I really hope you aren’t any ax-wielding Australian psycho, either!)
lel: It’s been a distinct pleasure getting to know you, and I definitely hope that you make it up here someday. (so I can indoctrinate you on bubble tea, hahaha) It’s definitely been interesting.
Akatsukami: It’s been a blast getting to know you, and I love you for your wisdom / humor / gentleness / willingness to let me bug you… and for extending the same love to me… I do hope that we can continue the way we’ve been as good friends.
XJETGIRLX: Wow, I didn’t know I made such an impression on you! I make an effort to read your posts because I feel that they’re both funny and insightful.
Polycarp: I simply can’t believe I made it to your list. I know I’ve been bad about keeping in touch, but I’m very glad you were able to get online again. Your posts are insightful, and I learn something good from reading them. You’re a good example of a Christian.
Anthracite and Fierra: I definitely appreciate you both more than you will ever know.
swampbear: I love you for being who you are… I always read your posts, as they’re very enjoyable.
Time is running short, so I’ll post the rest of my list later.
