As of late, I’ve been fond of Davebear. And Catalyst is my buddy IRL, of course.
Now that I have endless hours in which to play around on this thing, I’ll make up the rest of my list here and now. 
(same caveats apply to this list as to the other one)
I forgot to mention a couple more things about SPOZ, so I’ll do so now… Spoz: you’re intelligent, very musical, and have sent me humorous things to keep me laughing. Heck, even your music makes me laugh for some odd reason. Sometimes, you just keep me sane and together. Thanks again… you rock!
Kempy and G: Both of you have given me perspectives on life / love / the war / etc. It’s been good getting to know you both, and I hope we can continue. Thanks for cheering me up, as well.
Mike C.: Thanks for cheering me up, and for sending me those interesting emails! Definitely I should email you soon… just don’t know when.

Defintely have enjoyed talking to you for the past eighteen months or so… we’ve shared a lot. Should talk to you more often, I know.

DAVEW0071: From the first, I’ve always liked your posts… and admire you for being the person you are. You don’t know me well at all, but I am sincere in what I say here.
Scotticher: You’ve been an awesome friend to have, and have given me advice and plenty of love. You’re truly caring and compassionate to me and others, and I hope someday I’ll be able to extend the same to the people in my life.
Cruktar: It’s always been fun talking to you… we definitely have humor, empathy, and a bunch of that other stuff going on.

I’m finding names I missed, despite an attempt to hit everybody. Fizzes…, Uke Ike, Dex, Crunchy Frog… And if I try a second list, there’ll still be people I forget!
IRL, in addition to Dopers I know IRL, there would be my beloved wife the Skulldigger, of course, to start the list, my three boys – homeless teens we took in and whom I consider my sons in spirit if not any legal connection; their wives and children, especially my boy Chris, his wife Joann, and their three younguns, Amanda, Brandon, and Jordan – the latter particularly, now six and all boy, full of love and mischief, cute and aware he is, but with the kind of flair that can carry it off without conceit, is the joy of my life. Chris’s sister Nickie. Jay, who saved my life and who was instrumental in my meeting Chris, his wife Andi and their boy Alex (whom I’ve never seen IRL, despite his being nearly two).

I wasn’t going to post in this thread, because I would have to make a huge extensive list of Dopers I like and appreciate. And I thought, “Who on earth would have that much consideration and patience to make a long list?”

What a great guy. I mean, I may just be repeating what everyone has already said about him, but that’s because it’s true. Poly, you deserve all the respect you get here. Thanks for putting me on your list.
I’ve been on the Boards for over two years. I was expecting just a place to have a little fun and to fight a little ignorance. Instead, I discovered a community of caring, wonderful people, some of whom have become the best friends I could ever imagine. I won’t do a list, because I’ll be sure to forget some people and I don’t want to forget anyone.
Needless to say, I’m very glad for every one of you. Those I’ve only interacted with here, those I’ve talked to via IMs or on the phone, those I’ve met once or twice, and those that I’ve met several times… you all have enriched my world and my life more than you can ever know. Thank you for being there, and being such an important part of my life. And thank you all for letting me be a part of yours.
