I have been hearing from those who have gone that I must go. It sounds like fun. I have been reading about it on their website: http://www.burningman.com/index.html. But I would like some more real life tales. What should I really bring? What to expect? Who do I camp with (I assume you are better off not being a lone camper)?

It sounds like it might be fun, but I highly doubt I will ever go. Something that intense, for me anyway, would have to be with a relatively small group of people that I already know and who already know me. I just would not feel comfortable spending a week in the middle of the desert with people who do not know me and may not end up liking me in spite of my best intentions.
From what I have heard from friends who have gone is that it is very cliqueish, Unless you are brought by someone who is already a member of a tribe(or clan or something I can’t remember the word) you are just an outsider and treated like shit.
Exactly! That is precisely what keeps me from wanting to go, even though in a lot of ways it seems like something I might enjoy.
