Who hasn't Never Been Anywhere?

Deserts - I go to school in northern New Mexico, and have driven through Utah and Arizona.
Snow - I grew up in New Jersey, have family in Cleveland, and now live at 7,500 feet above sea level. I’ve also been to Rocky Mountain National Park in early Summer, when there was still about six-eight feet of snow in places.
Oceans - Atlantic (both sides), Pacific.
Mountains - I’ve visited the Appalachians and Rockies, and live in the Sangre de Cristos range.
Prairies - I’ve driven across America three times.
Caves - Someplace in Pennsylvania when I was a wee bit of a thing.
Rain forest - The Monteverde Could Forest in Costa Rica

An interesting corollary: people who are “world travelers”, but haven’t visited places in their own back yards. A co-worker of mine has been all over Europe but she has yet to set foot in Yosemite, a 3-hour drive away.

I have been to 60+ countries in every conceivable climate… from Yemen, to D.R. Congo to Finland. I am from Reno, Nevada and had been to Iran, Turkmenistan and Congo (among others) before visiting Yosemite, three hours from Reno.

I’ve been everywhere man
of travel I’ve had my share man
I’ve been everywhere

But I have never seen a whale. I really need to get 'round to that. I have also never been to California, but presume that will come with time.

Hoo-boy.

**Deserts ** - The Mojave (and whatever else the godforsaken dry hunk o’ country that runs from California to the Rocky Mountains is called) and the Sonoran
Snow - Yes. Lots.
**Oceans ** - Atlantic and Pacific
**Mountains ** - Rockies, Cascades, Sierras, Blue Ridge, and Alleghany
Prairies - Great Plains of the US
Caves - The Cave of the Winds, unfortunately (bat-fearing claustrophobe)
Rainforest - Olympic Peninsula
Glacier - Colorado (St Mary’s is pitiful) and in Glacier Nat’l Park
Volcano - Mt St Helen’s, Yellowstone, assorted long extinct (New Mexico Malpais, for example) and a few dormant (Pacific NW)
Tundra - Alpine only
Swamps - Florida (Okefenokee? a day trip from Orlando) and Lousiana.
Earthquake faults - there is a neat, polite, little visible fault practically taylor-made for high school geology classes a few yards north of 120th between Federal & Sheridan in Westminster, Colorado. Someday, I will see the Rift Valley.

Yep, me too.

Deserts - I live in Tucson, so I live in a desert.
Snow - I did my undergrad in ME, and moved here from OH, so snow, yep, seen it.
Oceans - I’ve seen the Atlantic and the Pacific - none of the others, though.
Mountains - Yep - several sets, including Applachians, the ones all around Tucson and some in Central America.
Prairies - I drove cross country this summer, with most of one day spent crossing OK. yep, prairie.
Caves - I grew up in the town of Rock City & Ruby Falls, plus there were trips to other caves in the region as a child.
Waterfalls: yep, seen some of those
Rainforest - I’ve even seen this, on trips to Central America.

Yeah, I’m another one who’s not Never Been Anywhere (at least with the threads that have come up).

I would get to if there were threads for specific continents, never having been to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia or Antarctica.

Deserts - I live in the desert Southwest US

Snow - I used to live 30 miles downhill from a ski area

Oceans - I’ve swum in both the Pacific and the Atlantic

Mountains - See “snow” above

Prairies - when I was too young to remember

Caves - Carlsbad Caverns, of course…but this past fall, I got to fulfill a dream I’ve had ever since I was little and heard about the “other” caves at Carlsbad that are only accessible with a guide and a pretty penny. I rapelled 40 feet down into a remote cave (no tidy walkways or CD-ROM-guided tour) that required a permit and an overnight camp-out. It was really cool, and I’ll be going through another cave in early Spring 2008.

Rainforest - not yet

I’ve been to all those places and just recently watched whales breaching in Hawaii.

Have you been undressed by kings? And what about that preacher man?? I hope you’re not still bitter from the sweet, jjimm.

I believe he’s spent some time in Thailand. Could have gotten ahold of a queen or two if he wasn’t paying attention.

Well I’ve seen some things that a woman ain’t supposed to see.
