Who Here Has NEVER Smoked A Cigarette?

I often like to say I’m one of the 12 people in the United States that has never smoked a cigarette… LOL

Just wonder who else has NEVER smoked a cigarette?

(I’ve never smoked a cigar or smoked anything else either)

Me!

My mother was a heavy smoker and the house always stank. Never even tempted.

Me. Someone at a party gave me one to hold for a minute while they did something, and I was surprised at what it felt like. It had never occurred to me that a cigarette would be warm, which is pretty dumb considering the thing’s on fire. I just hadn’t ever thought about it.

But there are lots of people who have never tried a cigarette. I guarantee you my dad never did, he had a horror of smoking even as a kid in the 50’s.

I haven’t. I tried to talk myself into it a couple of times, but just never could. A fact for which I am now thankful.

Never smoked a cigarette, or anything at all. Never made sense to me–don’t people die from smoke inhalation in fires? And now somebody thinks we should breathe smoke intentionally? I don’t follow the logic.

Never ever ever.

Me neither. Both siblings have tried it but I never had any desire to. Both my parents and the majority of my mom’s side smoked ever since I was little, I hated the smell so much that I never even thought of trying.

I’ve never smoked. There’re better things to spend my money on.

Never been tempted to smoke a cigarette, never smoked anything else either.

Never have, never will.

Mr. S and I both had fathers who were heavy smokers, so we both dislike cigarette smoke a lot. He says he’s smoked pipes and cigars a few times, but didn’t really inhale (heh). And I was surprised to find out that he did actually try a cigarette once just to see what the appeal was. Fortunately it grossed him out and he never tried it again.

I believe he’s also sampled the “hand-rolled” type (ahem) a few times. I never have, but I might try it if the opportunity came up.

Nope. Never have tried it. That’s an interesting observation- I didn’t even think about it, but yeah, I guess cigarettes would be warm, wouldn’t they?

A good portion of my family smokes, so any time I’m around them, my clothes end up stinking, and I get a good jolt of second hand smoke. It’s not something I’ve done or will ever do.

Me.

Lung troubles all my life.

I confess to deliberate “passive smoking” by sitting near smokers, though.

Me neither. Also surprised by the warm idea; never even touched one. Ick.

I’ve never smoked anything. I have a feeling that smoking and asthma aren’t a smart combination.

When I was in college[sup]*[/sup], someone was smoking a brown cigarette/cigarillo type of thing. I borrowed it and a cowboy hat for a brief, impromptu, Clint Eastwood impersonation. That’s as close as I’ve ever come to smoking anything.

The rest of this story does not live up to that intro.

Never. What a truly disgusting thing to do.

Never tried one, never felt tempted or even curious.

I’ve never smoked a tobacco cigarette, ever. I attempted to smoke marijuana in college, but my lack of experience showed. Like Bill Clinton, I didn’t inhale–not out of prudery, but because I couldn’t figure out how.

My friends all made fun of me. On the plus side, this permanently killed all desire within me for drug experimentation.

no, don’t even want to touch one.
