Who is a bigger pain in the butt in a relationship the man or the woman?

Having the last two men I was in a serious relationship with complain about the toilet paper I keep in my bathroom, I have to say that men are a bigger pain in the butt.
Toilet paper.

I’ve used both of those and I’m a man. Equality works both ways you know.

I agree that for a gender that prides itself on being better at communicating, women do seem to use the “If you need to ask why I’m upset then there’s no point in me explaining it” line quite a lot. It’s one of the things that makes me glad I’m gay.

Define PITA?

If PITA means the neediest one, then of my two long-term boyfriends one was the biggest PITA; for the other one we were both so un-needy that I think I win by a sliver (as I’d occasionally point out that after X months he still hadn’t listened to the music tapes I’d given him). I’m about as clingy as a steel plank.

Most of my dates were needier or had more rules than I did. There were the ones who wanted to convert me to Christianity (1); the ones who loved that I was in a PhD program / am an engineer / work as an IT consultant but who explained pretty early (thanks Ogette) that they were looking for a SAHW, so my brains were a plus for raising the smart kids we’d have but not something I’d be expected to use outside the house; the ones who wanted to tell me how to dress…

(1) I’m a Christian, Catholic, Apostolic and Roman. I’m fine with dating someone of a different persuasion, I won’t try to convert them if they don’t try to convert me, I’ll go to their celebrations if possible and invite them to mine if they’re interested. I’m definitely not dating again someone who tries to convert me, specially if they’re dumb enough to try and convert me to a different branch of my own religion.

I think that’s just wishful thinking.

Yes, dear.

Shodan

I’ve actually tried honesty once with the “does my butt look fat in these jeans?” Woo boy what a shitstorm that was. After two nights on the couch I had learned my lesson. With any kind of question like that, lie your ass off.

I have one glaring flaw that more than a few women have expressed displeasure with…football. I can and will sit on the couch all day watching college football. I have since compromised a little. If I watch football all day on Saturday, no football for me on Sunday. I think that’s fair, right guys.

What about before starting a relationship, like during the flirting and romantic tension phase? Maybe that should be it’s own thread, but I do know one girl who is driving me crazy with her emotional hurricanes.

Probably. You’re the common denominator in all of those relationships.

Doesn’t anyone else think that this is a very poorly worded OP? Or is it just for fun?

Bigger pain in the butt in what regard? If it’s about who nags or whines, then it’s definitely the woman. If it’s about apathy or lack of showing emotions, it’s the guy.

Nope, its just for fun.

I love when these debates get a lil´heated. Its so funny.
