I second that!
One of the women with whom I work. Nice lady, but I am married and, even if I wasn’t, she isn’t my type.
Are you kidding??? there’s nothing sexier than a 40 year old woman!
Speaking as a 40-ish gay woman
Really, I mean it. 40 year old women can be sexy as hell.
One lady at work where I’d say it’s a full blown crush, one or two more people who are maybe halfway there. One of my wife’s co-workers. (Do I hyphenate that?) Then there’s the people who just like looking at me, where I’ll include the rather intense lady at the coffee shop who gives me screw-me eyes the entire time I’m in there. Jesus Christ lady give it a rest.
This feels like bragging. Bleh.
If you have hate in your heart than let it out!
“The people who just like looking at me”. Classic.
Maybe a sliver of brag, IDK.
“Take a picture, it lasts longer.”
Growing up I learned about a couple after the fact. I wish they’d spoken up; one of the guys was really cute but too shy, I guess.
I made a good friend early on in college which makes it over 45 years ago. We briefly started having a thing. Right after our first real date, though, I met the guy I eventually married. When I got a divorce years later we ran into each other and had another date—and I married the man I met shortly after that. It became a sort of joke between us, that sure as we got together I was about to marry somebody else. He’s been happily married for over 40 years but just a couple weeks ago he sent me a PM out of the blue that simply said “love ya, Beck.” Every few years he does something like that and it really makes me feel good. Not “unrequited love” but a reminder that affection can last a good long time.
I’ve had the same thing happen in reverse. Two people in our circle were touchy feely - but light-huggy rather than embracey or kissy. So I wondered if they were brother and sister whereas they were actually romantically attached. Plus, since she looked extremely young, that only reinforced the impression (she wasn’t as young as she looked, however.)
Meh. Nevermind!
There was a waitress at one of the local restaurants who would go all gaga every time I went there to the point that I stopped going. The food wasn’t that great anyway. She made it very obvious, in quite a loud voice whenever I ate there-- it was really uncomfortable, especially since she just was not my type AT ALL. And even if she were, my gf at the time would’ve been a bit peeved if I hooked up with her. This was about 5 years ago.
Fast forward to last year, a new restaurant opens that seems like it would be worthwhile trying, and when I walk in… guess who is working there? I still go there once in awhile, but it is very awkward. She likes to lean up against me when taking my order, and gets all tongue tied in the process. I kind of feel sorry for her, but she doesn’t take a hint. Probably not eating there much in the future, if at all.
