Who is our "Opposite Sean Bean", someone who has a lot of film appearances and never dies? (spoilers)

Get Smart and The Mummy Returns are at least 2.

Wasn’t he just a stuntman for that one?

I put this search into Google.

actors who refused to die in movies

Here was the result:

Several actors are known for rarely or never dying in their film roles, often due to contract clauses or careful role selection. Queen Latifah explicitly uses a “no-death” clause to allow for sequels. Other actors often cited for not having on-screen deaths include Harrison Ford and classic stars like Jack Lemmon and Jimmy Stewart.

Has Clint Eastwood ever died in a movie?

High Plains Drifter doesn’t count.

Beguiled at least.

Damn, how did I forget that one?

He dies in Valkyrie.

He reportedly insists on a clause in his contract that his character is never allowed to lose a fight, so probably not.

Gran Torino, also.

Eric Roberts?

https://cinemorgue.fandom.com/wiki/Eric_Roberts

Lists 54 movies in which his character dies including some of his major award nominated roles.

I already listed 2 where he did.

If somebody wants to do the research, there’s the List of Deaths Wiki, which records all the deaths that occur in movies.

Not exactly the opposite (in one of these he ends up betraying his rescuers and dying), but I think Matt Damon gets an honorable mention for being rescued, at great expense, in multiple different movies (The Martian, Interstellar, and Saving Private Ryan)

Not correct. He dies several times.

Onscreen, he is killed in The Shootist (1976), The Cowboys (1972), The Alamo (1960), and Sands of Iwo Jima

Google tells me he drowns in Wake of the Red Witch and The Fighting Seabees. (I’ve not seen them).

He also dies (offscreen, of natural causes) in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence.

What about another Sean, Connery? Dies in The Untouchables but I can’t think of another death (or does he die in the terrible Avengers film from the late 1990s?). Even gets to drink from the holy grail in Last Crusade. And he certainly starred in plenty of films where his characters would have been in danger.

From Russia With Love (man in James Bond mask)
The Man Who Would Be King
Highlander
Highlander II

He doesn’t make it to the end of Finding Forrester.

Zardoz, technically.
And Dragonheart if you count voice acting.

He dies fairly early on in Executive Decision.

He also dies a few times in Oblivion, where there’s a clone situation.
