From my experience, bots may propagate or create some of the nastiest stuff, but there are plenty of homegrown haters who are more than happy to latch onto it. Essentially, while the bots amplify and create a distorted reality, they are working with a very receptive audience.
Given his political persuasions, does that come as a surprise? I’d say his capacity for self-delusion is well established, is it not?

I was attempting to point out the sorrowful situation of someone who, if he is in fact responsible for these activities, is alleged to be currently homeless, appears to be exactly the sort of non-white person the alt-right loathes and nonetheless puts himself in prison for life in service to a monster who couldn’t care less about his plight.
