I’m actually giving about a 10% chance that it will be found that only some of the bombs even had a chance of going off, not due to bad construction, but on purpose, most likely the ones to Maxine Waters.
The others seem like they had almost no chance of getting into the hands of the addressee. The ones to Waters had a chance, or at least the potential to blow up in the hands of an assistant, rather than being stopped by security.
Yep. Over and over. And even setting aside the actual incitement to violence, it’s a constant drumbeat of the theme that these people are criminals, liars, enemies that must be destroyed. And Trump’s personal comments are just the tip of a thirty-year campaign of hatred and demonization in which liberals are blatantly called traitors, “demonrats,” pedophiles, satanists, mass murderers, and every things else under the sun. The other day I read a book that explicitly claimed liberalism would cause the destruction of Western civilization. Over and over and over I’ve heard people claim Hillary is a literal murderer.
But they won’t acknowledge it. They’ve got everything from talk radio to 24-hour news spewing the most hateful lies and threats, of which Trump himself is merely the most recent imitator, over the course of almost thirty years. And they won’t even acknowledge it.
You can call someone a traitor and a murderer and a pedophile and a demon, but because you didn’t literally use the word “pipe bomb,” you are totally innocent and blameless and can’t comprehend how anyone could have interpreted it that way.
And - of course - it’s the Democrats who are being so hateful and divisive.
This is what we mean when we say Republicans refuse to acknowledge factual reality. Fuck these people. Fuck them all.

Yep, won’t acknowledge that, either. Over and over and over I’ve cited that as an example of conspiracy theories and depraved hatred culminating in violence.
Trump’s multiple scams, endless lies, threats and incitement to violence, praise for Russia, attacks on the media and democracy itself… none of that even warrants mention or acknowledgement. If Trump says one thing on Monday and something different on Tuesday, they’ll refuse to even admit that it happened.
But HOLY SHIT these people turn into Sherlock goddamned Holmes when it comes to reading Hillary’s email. Everything is a code, everything means something else, and by god they are just cryptological geniuses when it comes to picking apart every little thing she ever said until a man becomes so enraged he attacks innocent people with a gun.
And you know how many people I’ve met that will actually acknowledge it even happened? Zero. Not one. They’ll call me a stupid libtard snowflake cuck, and they’ll say I’m hateful and evil and a liar. But not for one second will they admit that any of these things actually took place.

What gets me is the right wing way to deal with it is this false flag argument. When I looked up #MAGAgate on Twitter, every conservative was trying to either blame it on the liberals or chastise them for “jumping the gun” despite all the targets being Trump’s liberal boogeymen.
Not a single conservative saying something like “Whoever this is, they do not speak for me or my fellow conservatives. This is awful.” Even if they threw that in with denouncing liberals for pretending it does represent the GOP position, I’d be okay with it.
But, nope. I’m sure officials did that, but I’m worried about the populace. Sure, you can say those people are the loudest, but they only get to the top through being the most popular. I only hope there were other, decent people who just didn’t use the tag.
Well, yes, Gavin McInnes is a despicable troll. But gaining public attention is very, very predictably his thing. Anonymous bombs is very much not. His entire thing is being a troll so he can make money from his idiot followers, and their entire thing is being trolls to make themselves feel better about being losers.
I know the Proud Boys and this right wing bombing campaign are both in the news, but that doesn’t mean they’re the same thing. It’s a right wing asshole, very probably acting alone, who’s off his nut like the pizza shooter.
The genius of Donald Trump and his Trumpists in the media is that they can stir up violence without having to tell a specific person to be violent. Stochastic terrorism, as it’s called if you know your math terms; Trump doesn’t have to tell one person to get violent, he just has to say violence is okay and of the millions of Trumpists, a few will act violently.
Just wait. Trumpists are going to show up at the polls on election day with guns, looking to chase off Black and Hispanic people.

Because of Trump’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder, he is incapable of caring about the fallout of this or whether anyone gets hurt. It only matters how this plays for him and it doesn’t hurt him, it helps him. His people *love *this.
And *he *loves this. He is flattered that one of his people is so devoted that they will send bombs to the specific enemies he has named.
This is my speculation, of course, but can anyone even picture him being upset that people might get hurt/killed? No, you can’t because he has proven himself to be a craven, raging, unempathetic asshole over and over and over. And he’s proven that he enjoys the misfortune of others.
He and his followers are irredeemable.
