Just curious. Would it be Electro?
I didn’t look up specific characters yet, but my gut says with all the cosmic-level characters out there, Electro wouldn’t even come close. I would even suspect characters like Magneto could generate more electricity than Electro. Also interesting about Electro is that he isn’t invulnerable to electricity. Quite often he is defeated when he crosses his arms and short-circuits himself.
Got a contender here: Living Lightning.
He can transform into a sentient lightning bolt, which makes him invulnerable to most types of damage (including lightning), generate force fields, survive without air/water, travel at the speed of light, etc. Also, he apparently is trained in street fighting. Really. Street fighting. Is that necessary?
Well, imagine this:
Supervillain: “Ha! I, Lord Doomthunder am immune to your pathetic lightning powers!”
CRUNCH “AHHHHGH!”
LL: “Looks like you still need your kneecaps, though.”
There is always Storm and Thor.
Yeah, I think it’s hard to top “God of Thunder” when it comes to electricity-based powers.
I guess Im really thinking of characters whose main power is electric and do various creative things with electricity. Re Storm and Thor these are really weather control powers and their use of electricity is mainly in blasting the crap of something with a lightning bolt. I’m looking for characters whose main theme is electricity and use it as their predominant power.
Does Zzzaxx count as humanoid? I’m not sure if he’s more powerful than Living Lightning though, since he probably isn’t trained in street fighting.
As with most of these types of questions, the answer is usually the one which has had the most attention paid to them via the writers. Thus a major character. Most one-shot characters don’t last long enough to develop the high level of power that a recurring character needs to have. Given this rule, I think it has to be Magneto.
Enjoy,
Steven
