Sure. Who can remember all the 8000+ handles here? David B. has a lot of posts too, but I rarely see his posts because he posts in GB most of the time I think. He doesn’t see my posts much either.
As for tomndebb, I haven’t seen any posts from him or her or them in this subject either [maybe I scanned too quickly?] 
Well, the first one that comes to mind is me. Obviously because I almost always agree with my rationale.
Other than that, the reason I post at this board is because of all of the intelligent people who post here. It would be easier to mention the ones that I don’t think are intelligent, but then this thread would have to be moved…
Okay, we obviously start with Cecil. Hey- he was smart enough to figure a way to get all of us to show up, right?
Next, tomndebb; not merely a walking encyclopedia, but an encyclopedia who communicates clearly and concisely. Being brilliant is one thing; being able to convey information is quite another, and tom does both extremely well.
Then, Dr. Fidelius, whose placement below tom is more to a a lesser breadth of knowledge, though he makes up for it with a much deeper knowledge in his particular fields.
Me? I’m probably somewhere down in the low two-thousands of the 9000+ registered posters.
Well, it’s obviously me. I’ve already been shown to be smarter than 99.5% of the population, but of people here, it climbs to 99.9999999%, or effectively 100% of the doper population. With an IQ of 258, how can you go wrong.

Oh, ok, maybe not. Who knows. You could have everyone post their rated IQs, which would give us an idea, but IQ isn’t exactly a great measure. We’d also run into the problem of everyone inflating their IQs.

I have the hightest regard for Chronos’s intelligence. (I have to say that–it allows me to rationalize the fact that he has successfully corrected me once or twice, a feat which has seldom been matched.

It’s hard to judge, though. There are so many brilliant people here, with such an astounding array of talents, that there seems to be no right answer.
uh, Chronos and Tomndebb. anytime I read a great response (I tend tor ead the post beofre the name of the poster) it invariably is one of the two. Chronos has the amazingly deep knowledge of many things scientific coupled with a great communicating style; Tomndebb seems to have a great range of knowledge, coupled with a nice recall and a hankering for effective research librarying.
oh, and Serliner.
I find Tomndeb to be more “wise” than “smart”.
As for IQ’s- I have a 153, which would normally put me in the top 2%, but here I would say merely the top 10%.
I cast my vote for tomndebb. I stand in awe of his intellect. Tom is consistently smart, friendly, always level-headed, and has a broad range of subjects about which he is knowledgeable.
In other words, he must have one heck of an encyclopedia set.

Wow, two people mentioned me. I’m honored. but, I’m definetly not up there. Many more people more intelligent than me. I would also vote for Tomndeb. I was always impressed with Singledad’s posts also. He would be up there.
The question posed by the OP raises yet another. What is intelligence? Do we define intelligence as the plethora of knowledge which tomndebb commands or as complete understanding in a specific arena such as ZenBeam? Do we define intelligence as the efficient wielding of knowledge as Dr. Fidelis is wont to do or as the eloquence and unique perspective which Gaudere offers? Do we define intelligence as an understanding of the opinions of other’s as does Polycarp or amazing utilization of logic evident in Singledad’s arguments? I, for one, continue to find myself astounded by the intelligence brought to this board by posters both reknown and less prolific. I have always considered myself to be an intelligent individual, but I am amazed at that which I learn as a result of my fellow members’ participation. Who is most intelligent? Until I receive a more specific definition, I must refrain from an answer which would exclude a single individual.
