Who is this nameless "Guest" who wrote such hilarious posts??

I hope this is in the right forum - it just didn’t seem technical enough to be in ATMB.

Anyway, I was reading the thread about the ferret who went down the groundhog’s hole, and the evil Nazi groundhog thread was referenced. Rather than hijacking that thread, I thought I’d start my own.

I remember reading that thread a while back and recalled that it was pretty entertaining. But I forgot how entertaining!.. That OP and the subsequent replies by the OP’s author were freakin’ hilarious! I was really impressed and wanted to see more of the author’s stuff!! But… NO NAME!! This is the first time I’ve seen posts headed by no name at all.

Back when I first read the evil Nazi groundhog thread, I believe the poster had a name!?? (And was maybe the one who wrote another humorous story about goats or something?..?) Now, he/she is just known as an unnamed “Guest”. Please tell me that this brilliant poster is still around and just has a username now, the anonymous posts being just a fluke. Does anyone know who wrote that great stuff?

Thanks in advance.

That’d be Scylla. I think I heard that he left the board when it went subscription. He’s also the guy who wrote the The horror of blimps story, which brought us a lot of new members.

Scylla as he was later called is the author of that thread. He disappeared once the site when pay.

Well, people in that thread called him alsmith. I wasn’t around, but I bet they called him that because that was his name. I did a search for that username but no dice.

That’s what I meant.

Thanks for the prompt answers!

Darn I miss Scylla! Can anybody get him to come back? I’d pay his subscription. If anybody knows him IRL, please let him know.

I’m serious! That was some funny shit!

It’s showing as “guest” just because that thread is so old, and was created with an older version of the software.

Yep. He created that thread with his earlier name.

I used to love saying, “Don’t be silly, Scylla.”

I too miss the Nazi Groundhog Mandingo Sheep Warrior.

Yeah, Scylla’s stories are a hoot. If you haven’t read his Popeye Chicken story in Teemings, it’s a riot.

Scylla may have stopped posting, but he still lurks

How are we to gather from his member profile that he still lurks? He may well, but the profile says nothing.

Also I love how his posts are stuck at 9999. If he ever comes back, it will be with glorious post #10000.
