Mr. Darcy, thank heavens.
I got Ron too. Hey, I loved that character, I thought Hermione was smart for falling for him.
Widdle Wonwon!
But when I opened the thread, I thought it would be about authors who are your secret love. The two I picked were PTerry and Stephen Fry. I’m pretty much out of the running on both of them. <shrug> A girl can dream.
I’m also gay for Sam Vimes…um except, well..He’s doable, that’s what I’m saying!
I got Mr Darcy… Not sure what that says about me!
I got Ron Weasley too, which is perfect for me. I love Ron - he’s my favorite character in the books. Well, him and Lupin.
Oooh, Rhett Butler makes me swoon.
I got Mr. Darcy, which I am definitely not sad about.
No arguments that he’s a great guy and I would love to toss back a butterbrewski with him. He’s just not a sex object, that’s all.
You mean Marcy Darcy’s husband on Married With Children? Uh, congrats. ![]()

For a minute due to the post order I thought you were saying Rhett Butler was not a sex object. I was like, what universe are you living in?
Choices are too limited. I think if the quiz can’t figure out where to put you, you get stuck with Edward Cullen. I’m really more a Sam Vimes type myself, and I see I’m not alone. It is hard to imagine two characters more different than Anger Man and Sparkly Boy.
I also answered about a vacation in the English castles - that probably nailed Heathcliff down for me.
You know, Craig Ferguson has written a couple of books. ![]()
And, “Hence?” A male character named “Hence?” Give me a freaking break.
Which makes sense. Little Miss Bella being the ultimare Mary Sue in many ways, she has traits of everyone and no one. So if the quix can’t figure out where to put you, it puts you with Miss Generic.
I, being an avid bookreader and all that, am quite happy to be matched as Hermoine, but I don’t really want Ron.
I suppose people getting Rhett are being compared to Scarlett, which is not entirely flattering, though she was ambitious and intelligent when she wanted to be, just myopic and quite a bit selfish.
I can’t finish the quiz. First question: who are these people and how am I meant to know about their style?
Can’t think of anyone from fiction I’d really want to date, either.
Yeah, that’s my excuse. It canceled out valuing a sense of humor, that’s for sure, because Heathcliff must be the most humorless character in fiction.
Next time, I’m going to choose manners over a sense of humor.
I got Ron Weasley. Some of the answers…I don’t really have a style icon who’s a woman, and after a bad breakup I’d drink beer and play video games, which isn’t a choice, so.
Another for Mr. Darcy. Don’t really see it though.
Someone mentioned Augustus McCrae… I totally get why all the females in the book were in love with him.
Not sure how literary romance novels are, not my thing but I got hooked for a while on Jude Devereaux. Was staying with my sister and ran out of things to read… About any of the Montgomery men in her books would be fine by me.
I got Mr. Darcy.
But my real literary BF remains Nick Carraway.
I’m almost totally unfamiliar with GWTW. I wouldn’t even know the name of the plantation if it weren’t for crosswords. I would totally believe that both the movie and the book Rhett are absolutely oozing sex but all I can ever see is that moustache and it just shuts everything down.
But yeah, my first post was about Ron.
I think that that link is more intrested in sell it’s books, but OK I got Mr Darcy too. However there is a better one who is my roommate and a better one I could never find, ever, anywhere, living, dead or in any book.
Book Rhett oozes sex. I don’t know about Movie Rhett since I really couldn’t get past Vivian what’s her face as the simpering, annoying Scarlett. Far more annoying than in the book.
i like mustaches…some of them
