Who knew you were celebratin’ the day?
Poke got covered in Sonny’s sweet BBQ sauce and shoved in the oven. I just turned it over and dumped more BBQ sauce on it. Shortly, I’ll get the corn in the steamer and slice up some 'maters. That and some melon should take care of supper.
**Spidey **- I didn’t think I was celebrating anything - I think I just crawled into bed without putting on my night shirt. I was purdy tahred…
extra cookies with my lunch today - posted them to facebook
Poke was good, but I think it’s too late in the year for good corn. Plus the heat and lack of rain may have led to it being more starchy than earlier in the summer. Supper is done. I’ll load the dishwasher soon and assume the chillage position. Laundry is in and away, and I’ve been crocheting cat butt coasters. We’ll see if they sell at the store.
Oooo good one. ![]()
Laundry is going, and I’m having a martini. It’s been a sloth filled weekend.:dubious:
Well, went back out this afternoon to evaluate more soccer players, but the rains came (and quite a lot of it, too) so I made the 200 yard trudge back to my car collecting raindrops. Came home and bathed (with some ouches and hisses from the sunburn I have collected the past two days). According to my Sunday go- to-dinner spreadsheet, Olive Garden should be my next stop, so I’ll shortly clothe myself and go forth to pasta-ize.
The lawn will have to be attended to sometime in the next MMP, as will the laundry. To wet to mow today and just not motivated to wash (plus I still have clean clothes and one cannot do laundry if one still has clean clothing, right?)
The King and I was terrific.
I agreed to work a double tomorrow.
What the Hell was I thinking? See ya’ll well down on Page 1 somewhere or maybe on 2.
Cereal and milk for dindin cause why not. Oh and a banana. Plus some diet Poopsie. I don’t think that’s exactly what the experts call a balanced meal but it was good.
Metal Mouse I did not know that you are a Pastafarian. ![]()
90 Gosh Darn degrees at 7:00 Gosh Darn night.
dammit
Our cat Scooter was MIA this morning at feeding time. Finally found her hiding under hubby’s car when he started it. She ran into downstairs storage area. Something wrong. Finally got her into the house and she hid under the bed for a few hours. I got her out and she is injured. Her long canine (ha) tooth was sideways in her mouth poking out and her forearm was swollen.
I called our Vet who agreed to meet hubs in 15minutes. Got her into carrier and off they went. Cat was squalling. Hated the car and the cage. Hissing up a storm. Hubs said she allowed the Vet to do anything at all. Vet put the tooth back in place and said she probably has a puncture wound on the arm. He gave her a 24 hour pain/antibiotic combo shot. Back home and back in hiding until just now when she came out and ate also scratched on the rattan stool so she can’t be hurting too bad.
F’ing cat is nothing but trouble around this house. Vet is a friend and was very nice of him to go in on a Sunday. He told hubs this was his fifth emergency call today. Most likely wounds from a cat fight. I wonder what the other one looks like if she broke her tooth in the fight. We didn’t pay the bill yet but it will probably be a few hundred. SMH. Poor old Scooter.
It sounds like poor old Scooter is going to be picking up aluminum cans on the roadside for some time. :dubious:
But it’s the wrong color, it must have too much of this, and not enough of that, and I never put that in -> DOUBLE BATCH NO LEFTOVERS
I win at dinner
butters, when we had porch and barn kittehs, catfight injuries seemed to be when they really needed vet attention aside from basic maintenance. The indoor ones tended to just do stupid stuff to themselves.
I took a ride on the bike today. I’m thinking of either selling it or bringing it here and throwing a cover over it. Twenty five miles is too far to store it, but the storage is free.
It took me quite a while to figure out you meant F1. I understand horse Grand Prix, not other things. :smack:
- SMH?
- Poor Scooter. Lucky to have you.
We’re on the Coast Starlight (kids and me) going to CA. I have some medical appointments, kids want to see friends, I shall sign papers, etc. I was going to drive and then decided that taking the train was just easier. I like the train. I had to separate the kids though. Bickering is healthy and all, but not in public for hours on end.
Messy day today.
Nothing got done the way it was expected.
I made cheeseburgers for dinner, but I didn’t want any.
I’m hungry, but I don’t know what I want. Except I know I don’t want a cheeseburger.
Maybe some soup.
{{{Scooter}}}
The last time I road a train I got train sick. I do not travel well.
Butters is the TD headed your way? If’n it stays on current track we’ll get rain this week. However, they rarely do that so who knows.
Sunny SMH = Shakin’ my head.
Pirate wenches? I got a noodly appendage they can touch.:D;)
Awwwww
Do horses do pit stops during a race?![]()
Nope, I do know some noodly worshipers, but I did not claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat only noodles and veggies. But the Olive Garden was good, in it’s muddled, semi-Italian way. And the salad and breadsticks make the meal truly enjoyable.
So home, well fed and moderately satisfied with my life. Now if David Weber will get his next novel on-line so I can read the early edition next week, all will be right with the world.
I have given up on David Weber (sacrilege, I know). The last book in the War God’s Own series was just so painful. It makes me sad.
Now if he and John Ringo would just write the rest of the Empire of Man series… ![]()
