I’ve just been curious about something lately. I am a DirecTV subscriber who gets regular definition service. I am considering getting their HD package, but I haven’t yet.
Anyway, near the beginning of each World Series and National League Series games, Fox Sports had an ominous voice intone “Brought to you in Fox HD and Dolby 5.1 Sound and presented by DirecTV” or words to that effect. I’ve just been curious if everyone gets that message, or if DirecTV is inserting that into their subscriber’s program, in effect saying “You could be watching this in HighDef”.
Was everyone’s World Series “presented by DirecTV”, or just we DirecTV subscribers?
(I know, I should have asked sooner, but I really thought the Series would last longer – and that my 'Stros might actually win a game. )
na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, good bye!
p.s. - there were so many commercials and promos, I don’t know how you even noticed that. I sure didn’t.
Brought to you from Chicago.
Yeah, yeah. It was honor just to be there, etc. At least the Astros finally won a pennant race.
I’m too much the gentleman to mention the blown call against the Angels that got the White Sox to the Series. Oh, and how is Dye’s recovery going after getting “hit” by that pitch in game two?
Anyway, I think the DirecTV thing happens near the beginning of NFL games, too. I know this isn’t the most profound question. I was just curious.
