Yes, so did we, and neither of us is a particular fan of hers. We’d like to see her come back.
I’m so glad he’ll be here for this election season. If they are going to assign days of the week, then I wish they’d give Fridays to Leslie Jones. She has that perfect vibe for summing up the week and moving us into the weekend. Friday is normally a slow news day, but if $#!t goes down, she’s shown that she can address it.
And it should keep him out. I’m glad too. His over energized persona makes my teeth itch after a few minutes.
I thought I liked Minaj until I saw that show he did on Netflix a few years ago. Yeah, not a fan of him as a host of a whole show. I didn’t like his comedy routine much and I did question if his stories could be fully true when I heard them. They just seemed…enhanced. It’s different than Jim Gaffigan exaggerating his family life and problems with his kids. I can’t explain it. It felt like he was very much twisting stories to get an effect more than just simple laughter.
Yeah, glad he isn’t the host.
I agree with John Oliver, who said they should have picked Roy Wood, Jr.
The show is aired Monday-Thursday.
I think Wood is a really good stand up and very good as the host. He can be serious if he needs to be but has the ability to be very funny with serious topics.
OK, well, give Leslie Thursday then. Or start doing Fridays.

Update; per commercials on CNN, Jon Stewart’s first day back is Monday.
I saw Stewart’s show last night. It was awesome. John Stewart is the only guy out there who can mock both sides in a way that neither side really finds offensive. While he’s clearly a Democrat, there was not a hint of the Emperor’s New Clothes - he called it as he saw it. We need a lot more of that, on both sides.
Why is that?
It’s 2024.
