What are they going to make fun of about Walz, though? He doesn’t even have one of those outrageous Fargo accents. Surely, the more important question is who will play Vance. Is there already a thread?
The New York Times has an article on this issue and mentions that Taran Killam, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Sudeikis, Haley Joel Osment or Michael Longfellow have been suggested for Vance.
That is definitely the comedy angle. Walz’s speech writers/staffers already see it and are getting traction. Comedy can easily become a deceptively powerful political message, no one but no one wants to be ‘effectively’ ridiculed. That is why swearing is always so lame, it’s unspecific, but you remember the Middle School burn you received over 3 decades ago about the color of your shoe laces.
Okay, so where have I been? I recently saw something about new photos of him having lost weight and I looked at a few. There were some headlines earlier in the year about him talking about his weight loss. But checking he did indeed lose 80lbs in 2010.
I thought I had seen clips of him lots of times in the last 14 years and didn’t notice anything before.
I apparently don’t follow celeb news all that much lately. Maybe a good thing if I remember that?
Oh, no! Equal time regulations would require offering the same opportunities for JD Vance to appear on SNL. I do not want to see JD Vance doing sketch comedy!
