Yeah - I’m not much for ska but I used to go and see them just because of the name. I do that a lot - went to see Panic! At the Disco when nobody knew who they were just because of the delightful midsentence exclamation point.
I don’t care so much about the location as the venue. Yummy food please!
I guess I’ll toss my vote in for Winter Park. I’m not that hot for the touristy areas.
My vacation plans are firmed up and I’ll be visiting my brother the weekend of May 9th-11th. Otherwise I’m planning on attending.
Since nobody else seems to be voting we’ll go with Winter Park.

I wasn’t kidding when I said there were lots…
PF Chang’s is family style Chinese food, pretty good. Johnny Rocket’s is a diner…greasy comfort food, that type of thing.
Crispers is a nice salad/soup/sandwich/coffee place, rather inexpensive. Ruth’s Chris’s, I’m sorry to say, will be out of our budget range.
Chamberlin’s is a health food store, if I’m not mistaken. I can’t speak to the food myself.
Houston’s…is that a steak place, like Longhorn’s, where you throw peanut shells on the floor?
I’m assuming Olive Garden is out, just because it’s, well, Olive Garden.
Not much info, I know…anyone else know anything about these restaurants? I vote for either Crispers or one of the Chinese places…I’m jonesing for Chinese food.
Hey, I don’t mind Olive Garden. But I’d prefer to not eat at a chain, Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang’s excepted because I’ve never been to them. I’d also prefer not to eat at Bubbalou’s cause I’ve done that plenty of times. But not having eaten at the rest of the places on the list either I can’t provide anything constructive.
But unlike most naysayers, if you pick one from the list I won’t chime in and say “ohhhhh, not THAT one! Pick something else!”
Houston’s is a high-end steakhouse and probably also out of our price range.
And it’s not technically at WP Village. Not sure how that got in there.
Pizza sounds good to me. It’s a good group food.
I have to double check, but I might be a no show for the event. Flanderchick and I might have an opportunity to spend the day with her sister in rehab. They don’t let her out too often so it would mean a lot to her. It might be the following week though, I’ll double check.
So what’s the word, Thunderbird? Where in Winterpark are we meeting?
I’m gonna run by tomorrow night and see which of the pizza places are big enough to seat more than 10 people. A lot of them are hole-in-wall types.
Find any places yet? Any alternatives in case we can’t find a local pizza place? If no one has an alternative to this by the end of the day I might just pick a random place from the list and designate it as the alternative
Wow, are we there yet? This weekend has crept up on me a lot quicker than I’d expected.
This coming Saturday, in Winter Park, at an as of yet undisclosed location. With the revolver.
GAH! It’s May already!
Okay. I’m thinking we should all meet in front of the movie theater, and work from there as far as location for dinner. I tried to find the pizza joints listed on Tuesday and… well, couldn’t.
5:30 sound good?
I’m game for it, if the movie theatre is in downtown WP, but I don’t recall one thereabouts.
A street address of some sort and/or a rallying phone number is almost imperative in these cases (although I do know what a lot of you look like now, that may not be true for everyone).
PM me for phone #.
Where are we eating?
