The only references I’ve found to this publisher are on Latin title pages using his Latinized name “Pleimesius”. Anybody know anything else about this publishing firm and whether they’re still extant in some form today?
Lots of Googling with mediocre results, but if I’m interpreting the German correctly, Dieter Pleimes was an antiquarian bookseller and reprinter in Bonn in the 19th Century. I don’t vouch for this; it’s adding up what’s implied in a bunch of references and allusons in a language I’m not fluent in. But it’s a place to start looking, anyway.
