Nymysys, on a layover in Chicago on my way to meet oldscratch. Then Nen, then Maeglin. Then I moved to CA and met a ton over and over again. Go BAD’s!

I met Arden Ranger in the Atlanta airport as we shared a cab to DragonCon. Shorrly thereafter I met Manhattan and Fiver and we ogled creatively dressed sci-fi women.

I met Caldazar when I was in Tracy, CA with my dad. He drove there to pick me up and drive me to SF where I met Rasa, zyzzyva, and oldscratch.
I won’t count enilorac, KKBattousai, or Mao Mao, as I introduced them to the board or met them before they became posters.
I picked out SPOOFE and Monster104 out of the group of waiting Dopers when KKB and I attended the February LA 'fest. We also met Johnny L.A., Shayna, phouka, Ashtar, Arnold Winklereid, Esprix, and a handful of others that night. 'Twas a great time. 
Shayna. She’s originally from St. Louis and when she came back to town for family reasons, she dropped me a line. I opened a thread to get an impromptu DopeFest together, but no one else was available on short notice.
I met Zyada on the way into the Olive Garden for my first Dopefest. I recognized her from her description of the purple skirt and flowery top she planned to wear. A few minutes later she introduced me to the other locals as they arrived–I remember meeting JimB, Aglarond, and the not-so-local Irishman. I know there were more people there, but I can’t quite remember which ones–so many Dopefests, so few brain cells. I do remember that one of the waitresses liked the way we called each other by our screen names, and delighted in referring to us as the “Adams family”.
That gathering seems so odd, looking back on it–I wasn’t taking notes.

Then shortly after that, I met most of the rest of the famous BADs.
Geobabe!!! She was wearing her Straight Dope T-shirt! She had gathered unto her RTFirefly, Peta Tzunami, and pldennison. The loveliest birthday present a Doper could ask for.

That would be Nu Vo Da Da when NghtCrwlr and I drove down to Northfield to pick him up for a Dopefest. Later that day, we met chique, Spider Woman, imthjckaz and son, Rysdad, and if I’ve left you off, I apologize.

Whoever answered the door the time I went to Chef Troy’s place for the Mardi Gras celebration…I can’t remember who it was, it wasn’t Chef, maybe Zyada?
And played Where’s Boba Fett? and OHMYGOD! There’s Claudia!. 
The first (and only, so far) was Andros when he was in SLC last year for business. Much like his posts here, he was fun and intelligent.
One of these days, the Utah dopers are going to have to get together!

That would be StoryTyler. Tyler was a reg back on the Old SDMB - we had lunch one afternoon in San Francisco, several months before this MB came into existance. She still posts over at Fathom.
AKAmame offered to buy me a beer during a heated boards discussion (we were both on the right side of the argument). We eventually settled for tea at a smart bookshop in Sydney.
I was actually nervous at the time, but she was cool. She may not post much but she is a great conversationalist with a very wide range of interests.
More fraternising ahead I trust, especially when pldennison is in Melbourne soon.

Met deb2world at Edison INTL to cheer on the Angels a couple of weeks ago.
TheLoadedDog and I met up for a beer (or 6) in the City a few months ago, and it’s way past time we repeated the exercise.
