If I may interject a (perhaps stupid) question …
Who is Orrin Hatch in the scheme of the line of succession? I’ve seen his name mentioned in several posts lately, speculating on post-Trumpian occupancy of the Oval Office.
Hatch, as President Pro Tem of the Senate, is third in line followed by the various cabinet officers.
No option for Nancy Pelosi?. 
This is about guessing, based on what’s in the news right now.
Since both houses of Congress are held by the same party that the people being accused of stuff belong to, and since there has NEVER been a case where someone has been removed from office by their own party, unless Trump resigns (unlikely), he will still be nominal President throughout 2020.
It’s been clear for a very long time, that the Republican Party places loyalty to party above everything else, including especially the economic health of the country, AND the lives of our military people. Even if Trump is found to have promised Putin to go easy on him in exchange for help with Hillary (extremely unlikely…Trump isn’t that clever), all that will happen is that the GOP as a group will say “tsk tsk.”
No President has ever been removed from office, period. Unless you count assassination.
However, Governors have been removed from office.
Rod Blagojevich was certainly removed from office by his own party.
Well since the elected president won’t take office until January 2021, per the thread title question, I’ll go with Trump or Pence.

I think Trump will be serving two terms. The animosity between the two parties isn’t going away anytime soon.

I too question why Ryan and Hatch are on the list. They’d only come into play if Trump left, and Pence didn’t get a new VP approved by Congress before he left office. The odds of that seem vanishingly low.

Trump. We will do all we can to make his life a living Hell and halt his every action but he’ll stick it out and we’ll fail to nail him and get him impeached.
Trump could die. Or it could become clear that he is gradually becoming demented (the bit with “priming the pump” was really scary). Or he could be impeached and convicted. Or he could resign. Given all those possibilities I went with Pence.
Why wasn’t the date Jan. 19, 2021?
That’s my fantasy. But they wouldn’t impeach Bush/Cheney to put her in, so my hopes aren’t high.
