Who would host an all-network television fundraiser.

The idea of having a fundraiser for the NYC/WTC victims is being tossed about (I doubt it will happen). Who would have the star power to host such a show? This is by far more prestigous than hosting any awards shows simply for the incredible audience such a show would inevitably draw (If all networks participate, plus many cable channels there really is no where to turn).

It doesn’t need to be a comedian, but that is a possibility.

A name that comes to my mind is Tom Hanks. Solid. Reliable. Can really tap into the core of emotions.

If we want to go funny, Jerry Seinfeld is a good a choice as any. A real New Yorker.

What about entertainment?
Could this be an event that would draw a Beatles reunion? (Not a chance!)

I hope if they do have such a telethon, it draws from TRUE celebrity for the entertainment rather than the latest Diva.

The thing doesn’t look to have a host, but Hanks was the first celeb out of the gates asking for pledges. Springsteen opened with a nice musical number.
