With all the Dopefests on at the moment, and the ones that are soon to come, I thought I’d ask the question, who do ya want to meet?
Seeing that I’m gonna meet Coldfire, globetrotter, Tater, and Trion next month, and that I have already met Ruadh, yojimbo and Micilin (locals)as well as Fretful Porpentine and D-Marie (visitors) I can rule them off my list.
Who do I still want to meet?
Satan. he’s such a dopefest slut I’ll keep a chair for him at the table in October. I can picture the conversation with one of the locals now…

TwistofFate obviously. We chat quite a bit and I’d love to be able to actually sit down and have a few drinks and a conversation with him face to face.
I wish I could go to the Vegas Dopefest this weekend so I could meet all the dopers that are going to be there. But, alas, I just can’t do it… I’ll miss my AC/DC concert Sunday night and we can’t have that!!

I would like to meet Shayna, purplebear, evilbeth (don’t let the name fool you - she’s a sweetheart), Coldfire, Nika, struuter, and some more to be name later but I can’t think of their names at the moment.
I wish there would be a Dopefest in Boston, or somewhere close in New England. I’ve been lurking around for so long that I feel like I know everybody. Lets round up every doper, along with SO’s and kiddies and found a nation! ChiefScott can head the armed forces and be in charge of panty raids.
I want to meet everyone, but it ain’t gonna happen. If I have to pick, I’ll pick GaWd and Satan in the interest of maintaining balance in the universe.

Well, then, Dylan just moved up to the top of the pack in people I’d like to meet.
Having already met a lot of Dopers (lucretia, bluesman, SqrlCub, dcnewsman, John Olsen, Wendell Wagner, Bricker, Falcon, Triskademus, Polycarp, Skulldigger, Satan, pldennison, Peta Tzunami, Uncle Beer, elelle, Jess, Chief Scott, aenea, Opus, weirddave, kyberneticist, cabbage, Montfort, RTFirefly, and briefly talked on the phone to Drain Bead) I think my other top choices (in no particular order) are: Coldfire, John Larrigan (though I have no interest in meeting this “TwistOfFate” character), Ayesha, Shayna, and Lexicon.
Not being included in this list should not be construed as meaning I don’t wish to meet you. In fact, if you’re willing to come all the way out to DC, I’ll buy a round for ya.

Again, I’d have to say I’d like to meet all of you, and I’ve never met a Doper face to face that I didn’t like. Well, except for Ukelele Ike, he’s a complete asshole and that Coldfire guy, you can just tell he’s a prick.
It took 4 months of patient waiting and reading for something to strike me as being worthy of my quoting it…

I too am very much looking foreward to meeting everyone in Dublin. This includes TwistofFate, yojimbo, ruadh, tatertot, Coldfire, and even Globe-trotter (despite not being included on her list ;))
Of those who won’t be there I guess my list would include Satan, matt_mcl, struuter and Eve. Probably more.
Me? Seriously? Cool. That’s really cool. I still have this cock-eyed optimist ideal of figuring out a way to get everybody together. Wouldn’t that be…special? I know, I know…there isn’t enough alcohol in one geographic location to sate everyone. I’d bring brownies…
When I think about all the people I’d like to meet…jeez. Everybody. More importantly, I’d love to be there when everybody met everybody else. That would be fun.
Been to alot of Dopefests, and haven’t had anything but a blast yet, so I’d better contribute. Of course I’ll exclude the many that I’ve already met.
