I wasn’t aware of Sherri Shepherd before this thread. Though I watch 30 Rock, I never paid attention to the actress who played Tracy Jordan’s wife, and don’t even know her first name on the show, let alone the name of the actress playing her. Plus, you couldn’t pay me to watch The View…okay, you could pay me to watch it, but it wouldn’t be cheap.
Now I’ve read this thread, and I’m wondering how this woman finds work more challenging than emptying trash cans. Her level of stupidity is astounding. It’s not like she was being asked tough questions, nor should a “professional” get flustered in front of a camera like a Wheel of Fortune contestant. Is she on to make the viewers feel better about themselves? Or is there a large enough segment of the population to whom she connects? If the latter, can someone stop the world so I can get off?

I came in to mention Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck…though I think Shepherd deserves the “stupidest real TV person” award.

Does that woman not realize how stupid she is? If I had any inkling I was half as stupid as she is, I would not broadcast it worldwide daily.

I don’t watch most of the programs listed in this thread, but after watching those two clips, I am at a loss to understand how that woman’s brain generates enough electricity to keep one foot falling in front of the other.
My friend interviewed Larry for Japanese tv in Larry’s studio and I got to go along. He pointedly said that he just asks questions and listens to the answers. This is the kind of thought-out style that lets him nod along as Paris Hilton tells him that she’s never done drugs.

If you’re referring to Shepherd, during early election coverage she said she has never once voted because she “didn’t know the dates and stuff”.
So, I would say “yes”. Yes, she is dumber than Miss Teen What’s-Her-Dumbass. A teenager freezing on live TV and having a monumental brainfart, is a comical one-off. Sherpherd’s stupidity is a chronic condition.
I wish I could believe that Sherri Shepard had been carefully chosen after a thorough search meant to find the most embarrassing, cringe-producing, ignorant, and just plain wrong Christian as part of some Machiavellian plot to discredit Christians in general.
Unfortunately, as they didn’t select one of the women in the Phelps clan, that’s more than sufficient to discredit that scenario.
Egads. I’d love to get her to fill out a short essay about the history of the world. Really. Just to figure out what she does think happened.

As mind numbingly stupid as Flavor Flav is, the women on his show are much, much less intelligent than he is.
(Yeah, I watched it a few times. I’m unemployed and bored silly. Then this scummy material started seeping through my TV and I had to bleach my entire apartment to get rid of it.)
