This is my first start of a thread and I’m not sure if it should go on this board or one of the others - but here goes.
I’m doing some research on popular songs with environmental messages. One is U2’s “Beautiful Day”. Via the magic of the internet I can find the lyrics posted on about 50 sites, and have opportunities to buy the CD on 100’s more. However, I haven’t hit ONE site that actually lists the author of the song. Does is go without saying that it’s Bono? Am I missing something? Where can one go to find the actual authors of song lyrics these days?
According to this site there are numerous co-writrers for the song. Go down to “Song of the Year” reference about half way down page. I’ll see if I can find a specific listing.

usually listed as music by U2, words by Bono.
The American Society of Composers, Artists, and Publishers lists the songwriters as Adam Clayton, David Evans, Paul David Hewson, and Laurence Mullen. These four men are U2.
