Out of those three, I have to agree with the masses and go for Phoebe. Sure, she’s weird, but she’s not dumb (no, really, she isn’t – she often seems the smartest of them), and she seems like the most fun as a person. Rachel is a bombshell but completely self-absorbed and Monica is just a seething mass of neuroses.
(But, of course, my real favorite on the show was Ross’s second wife, the Englishwoman (what was her name, anyway?)

I can’t confess to any particular fascination for any of the three ladies… but I will say this about Friends: the 1997 breakup between Ross and Rachel was very compelling, and hard to watch, because the dialog almost completely mirrored a breakup I had years and years before. It was amazing, and - given the confines of sitcom TV - very well acted. Kudos to Schwimer and Anniston.
Hmmm… interesting trend here. Most of the guys are saying that Monica and Rachel are “way too skinny.” I recently read a thread on another board where women were discussing their “dream bodies” and ol’ Monica and Rachel came up more than anyone else. Seems to me that the womens and the mens are a little off on their definition of the “perfect body.”
Just for the record, I’m of the “too skinny” viewpoint, too. I’d much rather be a little above my perfect weight than way below. Yuk!
