I’m without a laptop at the moment, so I have more down time and have been filling it with reruns. Friends seems to be on about a hundred times a day, so I’ve wound up watching it a lot, after having not watched it since it went off the air about ten years ago.
When it was still on the air, the character I was most attracted to was Rachel, while the one I was least attracted to was Phoebe. Now, though, that’s completely reversed itself. I love Phoebe in all her scenes and though I couldn’t see it as a teenager, Lisa Kudrow is actually a very beautiful woman. Rachel, on the other hand, is pretty bland, and when she’s more active or integral to a scene, she seems like a bit of a harpy.
Rachel was far and away the hottest of the women in the early seasons but dropped back to the pack when Jennifer Aniston started obsessing over her weight and got so gaunt and scrawny.
Hmm, I always thought I knew what that meant, but with regard to Jennifer Aniston I have no idea, lol. IMO, Francis Bean Cobain is “hauntingly” beautiful, but Jen, eh, I don’t know.
Wow. I’m surprised Monica is running so far behind in this poll so far. It’s not even a fair race for me. Monica was straight-up smokin’ on that show. Rachel was more girl-next-doory. Phoebe just looked goofy.
I always thought Phoebe was beautiful, and definitely the most attractive female character. Joey was very good-looking in the early seasons, though not so much later on.
Originally it was Rachel for me, in the first - one? two? - seasons she dressed to impress. Then she got a little more conservative and it was Phoebe from then on. So I voted for both.
Among the six main characters only (well, three, really, since I’m a heterosexual male), Rachel gets my vote. Yeah, she’s the “obvious” choice, but come on. Jennifer Aniston! Not that I would have turned down either of the other two ladies in whatever fantasy world in which I would have a chance with any of them.
BUT… Since the poll has an “Other” option: Charlie. Yum.
I liked Courtney Cox at her best (i.e. least scrawny) better than Jennifer Aniston during the “Friends” era, but nowadays Jennifer Aniston is way better than Courtney Cox.
My favorite Friends character is not the same as who I think was the most attractive. I think Phoebe was a statuesque classic beauty but my favorite character was Chandler.
Sorry, I don’t want to get all “she has sharp knees” on you, but I just don’t find her face attractive for whatever reason. I’m honestly surprised that she is considered more attractive than Courtney Cox. I always thought she was meant to be the least attractive of the bunch, but I guess it’s my tastes that are skewed.
