I was raised in that little town of about 10,000 people. The weird thing is that I am always meeting people who have lived there, had relatives there, etc., IRL.
Maybe this is a common “it’s a small world after all” experience, but it strikes me as a bit odd and statistically unlikely. Anyway, I’m curious: which of you dopers have connections to good ol’ PK?
I went to college for a couple of years in Pittsburg KS, so I knew quite a few people from Parsons. I had a roommate from there. My sister married a guy from there.
Not from Parsons, but I either have family or have spent significant amounts of time in Iola, Gas, Humboldt, Chanute and the surrounding locales.
