@Dr.Strangelove’s profile says he last posted in Sept and last visited in October. So 4 and 3 months ago respectively. If he’s stopped by to read since then it was not while logged on.
His last few posts gave no hint of anything out of the ordinary.
Any nuclear bombs dropped lately?
Seriously, hope he’s busy correcting a mine-shaft-gap or taking a mental health break.

I still miss Kayaker…was there ever a resolve to his disapperance?
@Crafter_Man had posted this in the " Where is kayaker?" thread, which, if they were correct, shows that kayaker was apparently doing well several months after his last post, and a month or so after his last SDMB activity:
Just checked his and his girlfriend’s FB pages. Also did a Google search. Didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
I thought of him yesterday too, it is strange that he has not posted considering the many interesting developments in the subjects he liked and knew so much about.

I was concerned that he’d had a major adverse medical event. I’m sad to see he’s left us, but glad he & GF seem to be chugging along normally in our absence.

For the record, @Stranger_On_A_Train recently posted apologies for some misunderstandings and a formal notice that he was moving on with his life apart from us. I am sorry to see him go, but respect that things change over time, and that he doesn’t owe us anything.
So do not expect further posting from him in the future, and I wish him luck and joy in future endeavors.
Not trying to draw attention to it, but this should help prevent further @'s and resolve his position regarding this thread. I’ll include a link to the post I referenced (Pit Warning).

I just found out that @nightshadea stopped posting abruptly in early August, 2025.
They certainly had a difficult and chaotic life. I hope they are well, but almost certainly their larger situation is not.
