I’ll nominate Brit singer Aubrey O’Day and porn model Christina Carter. Google either name with the addendum naked and nude, and be prepared for NSFW results. (O’Day has done a Playboy photoshoot.) The interesting thing about both is that their apparent weight fluctuates … in some, they appear to be very, very voluptuous, in others, they have more standard model-ish looks. I guess it’s fluctuating weight, fluctuating airbrushes, etc.
She’s #2, right after Kardashian. Thanks, though. Definitely needs to be there!
There must be many others. I’ll mention Julie London as one whose voice adds to her voluptuousness. Your basic Stone Fox.
Jennifer Connelly (Specifically from “the Rocketeer”)
Amen! Not to mention “The Hot Spot” and “Mulholland Falls.”
- Her jugs can in no sense be described as voluptuous, even in that photo.
1.a. Much of the well-bosomed look in that photo is a LOT of clothing and manipulation. See Titanic for more info in re: Kate’s hooters.
None of these women are 5’3".
Amber Rose qualifies in my book. Large breasts, slimmer in the middle and plenty of hips and behind.
Christina Hendricks has left “voluptous” in the dust, IMHO.
Aside from my not seeing the connection between 5’3" and “voluptuous” it appears that at least these women on the list are indeed 5’3" or very close to it. There are others at 5’3" on the site that have yet to be mentioned in this thread.
Check this site (and others like it) to see:
What’s your connection with 5’3"?
36-24-36?! Only if she’s 5’3"! -Sir Mix-A-Lot
I actually looked up Salma’s height but decided to post the reference anyway.

While I’m not surprised by these results, I’m not on board with them as I do not associate the word “voluptuous” with weight the way others do. I think of it as interchangeable with curvy, having an hourglass figure, being chesty, smaller waist, with fuller hips and thighs. You don’t necessarily have to be plump; it’s about the proportions. When I think of the best example of voluptuous, the person who immediately comes to mind is Sofia Vergara. For a less current example, Anita Ekberg. Her name may not be as recognizable as Marilyn Monroe, but ain’t nobody seen La Dolce Vita?
IMHO, Peter Paul Rubens didn’t paint voluptuous women, he painted grossly fat women. Looking at his paintings of the female form indicates that cellulite is by no means a modern phenomenon.
“Curvy” means you have fat in all the right places. But in order to do that, you have to have fat in the first place. A certain amount of weight is a necessary but not sufficient condition to be voluptuous, and you cannot be simultaneously voluptuous and skinny.
Who said anything about being skinny? You can certainly be voluptuous without being plump. Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, Jayne Mansfield, Pam Grier, and a whole lot of others have managed to do it.
Shaaaa wing! +1
Actually Dolly is a great pick. Check out her appearance on Captain Kangaroo(!), especially 3:20 to 5:00.
Dolly is a misleading example, though.
Watching Castle tonight reminded me of another good example of a voluptuous woman: Tamala Jones.
