Who's the most annoying team to watch ever on the Amazing Race?

Ok, there’s an urge to call the Weavers the worst ever, 'cause they’re the ones in the spotlight right now, but…

Lemme list a few other annoying teams:

Guido-Annoying and full of themselves AND they pushed a little old lady. But overall they were mostly just snotty.

Flo and Zach: well she was annoying as hell in the last 4 episodes or so, but she was ok earlier. I’ve seen interviews with her where she’s pretty much said “Yeah, no excuse for my behavior, I had a breakdown and I can’t believe Zach put up with me.” That said, man she was annoying for the last bunch of episodes.

Ian and Terry: He’s a lout and and something of an ugly Amercian (“IF I TALK LOUDLY AND S-L-O-W-L-Y THEY’LL UNDERSTAND ME.”) but when it came down to it, he was basically competent and I kind of admire that.

The “My Ox Is Broken” Guy and his partner: 1) They were probably the best racers we’ve ever seen on the show in terms of pure skill–ignoring the people stuff. Like I said, I can admire that. 2) I never quite got the same level of hatred for him that a lot of others did but I know they drove a lot of people nuts.

Charla and Myrna (“I’m afraid of everything”) Ok, Myrna was annoying, but in a low-grade way.

Jonathon and Victoria: They fought constantly, he viciously attacked her verbally, he physically assaulted her at least twice, he screamed constantly and he wasn’t as bright as he thought he was.

Weavers: Aka: “You suck because you hate us 'cause God is on our side”. Plus they littered, plus their bigoted “God must not spend any time in Utah” “Yeah, it’s a Mormon state”, “Well, no wonder.” crack from tonight…

The team who went to (India? Africa?) and made cracks about “Well no wonder when you breed like that”.

For me, the clear winner is Jonathon and Victoria. Most. Annoying. Team. To. Watch. Ever.

Second place may go to the Weavers. The littering, the really obnoxious snarkiness (“They’ll use the money to get boob jobs”), the bigotry from tonight AND the hypocritical faux-Christian attitude just get on my nerves.

I dunno who gets third.

Good picks, but the Weavers would have to be #1. Not only are they stuck up, with their literal “holier than thou” attitude, but I keep thinking there are FOUR girls on that team!

At least Victoria did Playboy after the race, so that gives her team a couple points…

It depends on how annoying you mean by “annoying.” Everyone remembers the annoying teams that last far into the race, and even become finalists, because what starts out as a simple dill-seed-under-the-tooth irritation repeats itself week after week until you’re ready to claw out your eyeballs and stick them in your ears, just to shut out the pain. But at least two teams, had they lasted, would have gone down in history as the most vile, despicable players of all time:

  1. The Rogers, TAR8. Bible-thumping dad makes a mistake, blames his son, constantly belittles him for it, and when it’s clear the fault is entirely his, he smirks and says that his kids “shouldn’t assign blame.” Thankfully the cocksucker & his brood were eliminated that same round – otherwise the urge to drive out to Shreveport and shove a steel-plated Bible up his ass would have been too great. (Ironically, they’re good friends of the Schroeders, even put them up after Katrina…they seemed more like Weaver people to me.)

  2. Kim & Leslie (aka Dark Hair/Light Hair), TAR1. Pair of chicks who diss another team at the airport, then cut in line and steal their cab, then LAUGH about how much that team hates them now. May not seem like much, but imagine if they lasted to the final three pulling that shit with everyone…again, Karmic Retribution intervened when they spent several minutes arguing with their cab driver, allowing all the other teams to reach the Pit Stop first (which was only 30 feet away!)

As for the more memorable teams, I thought the Guidos and TerIan were funny. Evil, but in a funny way. The Weavers are pretty damn annoying, but they’re also completely insane, which gives 'em a pass. Colin was just loud & obnoxious, Jonathan moreso. Adam & Rebecca were a constant pain in my ass but even they grew on me by the final leg.

Hmm…I’d have to give the prize to Zach & Flo. In particular, Flo. No other team in history actually caused me to grab a box of razor blades from the medicine cabinet and start scrubbing down my wrists. (On the other hand, pursuant to the two obscure teams listed above…how annoying would they have been if they were eliminated in the second episode? None at all, I think.)

Or maybe I should pick Kris & Jon from TAR6 and the Gaghans from this season. They’re annoying because they were too bloody perfect. :wink:
