Actually, the numbers quoted aren’t entirely accurate anyway. First pubes in Playboy were Marguerite Empey’s back in '56. It’s one instance where Playboy itself is wrong on their own website.
Yes, I can back this up. I have a scan of the picture somewhere–an absolutely terrifying underwater shot that looks like something out of Dagon. 
The only problem is that the photographers always seem to have an insatiable need to be arty and shit for the celebrity pictorials. I’d rather they forgot about the black-and-white film and the distracting thematic stuff.
