For the past few years, all the centerfolds look like plastic dolls to me. Hairless, plastic dolls with hardware piercing the skin of their navels.

I’ll cast a vote for Jennifer LeRoy, and give a special (dishonorable, based on her recent alleged criminal activity) mention to Jennifer Lyn Jackson, who graduated from my high school ten years after I did. Her mother worked at a music studio where my brother Mike took guitar lessons, and often told him that “you should see my daughter, she’s gorgeous.” When Jennifer’s centerfold hit the stores and mails, Mike was amazed to see that for once, a “proud mom” wasn’t overstating her daughter’s level of attractiveness!

I had a longtime crush on Dorothy Stratten, after seeing a photo spread of her while working as a summer camp counselor (not much to do after hours in the staff cabins other than check out dogeared copies of Playboy, you know). She was a beautiful, fresh-faced blonde who seemed girl-next-door friendly. Took my breath away.
Alas, her insanely jealous boyfriend shot her to death and then committed suicide, a tragic turn of events depicted in the movie Star 80.
Kelly Monaco (since long before Dancing With The Stars and Daytime Soaps - though she does make a nice “showing” in Idle Hands :-)); Anna Clark, Karin Taylor, Christy Thom and another from the 80s whose name completely escapes me right now.
