Can you post a picture of yourself? That’s the only way for sure that we can tell you why you seem so intimidating to people.

Machetero, good point. I do have quite a temper, and I scare myself sometimes when folks get me riled up enough. But, I should point out that I wasn’t really riled up enough to justifiably intimidate that bouncer fella.
NinjaChick, don’t be too jealous. When folks ain’t running scared from me, I, too, sometimes have the problem of being ignored and/or dismissed because folks think I’m a pushover, or I’m a lot younger than I really am. [sigh] What’s a girl to do?

Tenar, That’s a funny story. I could see me making the same mistake, but then I never know who’s married to whom, or seeing whom at work anyway. I barely know my own name at work.
KnowedOut, I’m not sure how my eyes look when I’m angry and whatnot, but I don’t think they look like a snake’s eyes.

No, but the MOST intimidating one wears African prints and head wraps. She was also my boss for awhile. Hoo-boy! Could she make us all jump to do her bidding. And she never, ever had to raise her voice. Quite soft-spoken actually.
Her name was Queen.

Oh well, maybe somebody here will help figure it out for you. My only guess if you can intimidate a bar bouncer, you must get this look on your face that makes it seem like you’re capable of doing anything when you’re ticked.
What about your voice? When you get annoyed, do you have, what could be described as a “tough” voice?
