Yea, I’m not really sure I’d count Palin as having her fifteen minutes up. I doubt she’ll ever hold elected political office again, but she’s still in the spotlight as a spokesman for her particular brand of Conservatism. I suspect we’re stuck with her till 2012 makes it clear one way or another that she’s not really going to run for President, and even then I’m sure she’ll hang on in the “back-bench” of Conservative commentators, with Newt Gingrich, Olie North, et al.
Granted its debatable whether that makes the marriage of her daughter particularly relevant, but for better or for worse the public seems interested in the personal lives of politiciansfamilies
Why are you surprised? You don’t think she is cute? And buxom? I should have thought both facts are fairly manifest from virtually any picture of her. As some women’s celebrity is based entirely on their cuteness and breast size, I don’t see why these factors should not be working for her too.
Of course, the fact that in Britain, “Bristols” is actually a slang term for breasts is also of relevance.

That’s my idea of what a Palin supporter would consider “rugged”: no help for individuals in any situation you can’t buy your way out of.
