He’s ugly moronic and his acting could have been done by someone who would look credible. What was Lucas thinking? Can he ever admit he was wrong? Oh and he also sounds like the cookie monster. Just thinking of him makes me wanna strangle him. I enjoyed Starwars 4,5,6 but always fast forward the parts the Kermit wanna-be is in.

I think the fact that he was ugly and moronic, along with old and feeble, was the idea. When Luke went to Dagobah to meet Yoda, he expected to meet this huge guy who is a master of the force. What did he find? A tiny little muppet who walks with a cane. Kind of shows you that the force isn’t about physical power, but about knowledge and wisdom. If that feeble little thing can be the ultimate Jedi Master, then the force must be a very powerful thing. Don’t trust appearances, trust the force.
That’s what I always got, anyway.
Okay, you know it’s a muppet, right? (Well, until Episode II, when it’s a CGI.) I think asking for “acting” from a muppet is one of the signs that you need to take a step back. 
“Oh, shit. I need to train Luke to be a Jedi Knight but I killed off the only living Jedi in the last movie. WhatamIgonnado?” Or words to that effect.
Yoda replies: “How far up your ass my cane will go, let us find out, hmmmmmmm?”
True, but he sounds like Miss Piggy. That’s the comparison I prefer.
