Why didn’t anyone tell me it was such a good show? I can’t believe the hours I’ve wasted not watching it. Surely there should have been a memo, or at least an email…
The episode was Ballrooms and Biscotti (I looked up the episode guide on the internet afterwards). Any show with the word “jamstress” in it gets a gold star!
Bernie, I would have told you, but you never asked!
Actually, it took me a while to find it too. I mean, after all, it’s on the WB. But one of the Chicago TV critics had said good things about it, and eventually I checked it out, and I was hooked.
I’m looking forward to the new episodes (soon, I hope).
Same story here. The whole premise- young, single, sassy mother and mature, quick-witted daughter in a small town- and even the very name turned me off at first. I think I read about it on (the site formerly known as) Mighty Big TV and decided to give it a go. Thankfully.
Can you give me some details? Is it in re-runs? That’s how I got hooked on Judging Amy. What network is it on? Please don’t tell me it’s at the same time as the Practice or any of the Law and Orders. That would make me sad…
I almost started watching it after Oprah’s friend (Gayle?) talked about watching it with her daughter. But then I forgot.
It’s on the WB on Tuesdays at 8:00 eastern. The last couple of weeks have been reruns, and it looks like the one coming up is a rerun too. There may not be any new shows until May sweeps.
If your cable company doesn’t offer the WB, UPN also shows it Saturday nights. It’s too bad you didn’t get hooked last season. They were playing Gilmore Girls: Beginnings on Sunday nights. I believe they just replayed the first season in order.
Gilmore Girls always annoyed me because of the way they read they’re lines.
It was as if they were instructed to speak as quickly as possible and when one person was done with they’re line you should say yours as fast as possible with absolutely no pause inbetween.
Like watching Dragnet on speed.
