If a woman wants to wear a g string bikini, she should shave. As was mentioned, hair protruding from a swimsuit doesn’t cut it.
I don’t know why, but chicks with pits drive me to fits. It’s just so damn sexy to me. I’m sure that is partly due to the fact that hardly anyone here (U.S.) does it, so it must be naughty. It is especially sexy on demure office lady types.
I like 'em shaved clean down below though. It’s sort of a yin/yang thing I guess.
The last beauty pageant I watched I think it was Miss USA, you could actually see on a few gals their “slit” under neath their bathing suit, they must’ve been shaved. I felt embarrassed for them!!
Whoever won was not exposed in this manner. Maybe she shaved or didn’t but her suit was thick enough to keep that secret!
Why should you feel embarrassed for them? Men are showing their big ol’ bulges all the time (ever seen a male ballet dancer?) , so why can’t a woman show some camel-toe once in a while?
It’s allllllllllllllll natural, baybee!
Shaved legs are nice and smooth, making contact with them more enjoyable. They just feel nice. Armpit hair…well, I’ve dated girls who’ve shaved and girls who haven’t. It’s nice to know in advance, but overal, armpits don’t get that much attention in the scheme of things, so it doesn’t really matter. But, for those of us raised in American society where it’s become common for years, it’s become the norm, so anything else is a little shocking.
As for shaved pubes. Not my thing. I’m with the “Trim is good” crowd. All off is interesting, but not desired. At the same time, having a forest down there is rather unattractive. I love going down, but there’s enough to think about down there without having to worry about getting lost.
Maybe you should take a compass and a machete, Elvis.
OMG I am so square, so there are about 90 million other words to describe the frontal wedgie, as I discovered at cameltoe.org -
My favorites
calamari cockring and whisker biscuits.
A naked woman with shaved pubic area doesn’t remind me of a young girl; more like a plucked chicken.
All the very best to you and your wife, zenith.
On a recent trip to SoBe (Miami), I noticed a lot of gals wearing those one-piece swimsuits, of thin lycra, usually whiite or light-colored. When wet, the material is basically “see-through”. I can assure you, a gal looks much nicer shaved when she emerges from the water, wearing one of these hot little numbers. A “camel nose” is vey noticeable under white lycra.
the one time i shaved it all off, i thought it looked terrible. i didn’t look like a little girl, per se…more like - i dunno - the top of an old man’s head? when it was growing back, it looked all gray, and it just seemed very elderly and unsexy. sometimes i worry that whoever i marry will think my pubic hair is gross, but since i am kind of grossed out at the sight of my hairless crotch, that will have to be too bad for him if he is.
On women I prefer smoothness, except in the pubic area, where nature should rule. Pit hair especially turns me off.
I was at Sequoia National Park once, standing in front of the General Sherman tree, when I noticed two very attractive young German women. I especially noticed the pretty redhead. Then she raised her arm to point. “Sehe da!” she said to her companion, indicating the hundred-foot high lowest limbs of the great tree. A huge red thatch almost jumped out from under her short-sleeved blouse. It grossed me out completely. I decided then not to even try to practice my high school German and walked on by. Red pubes, on the other hand, are a turn-on to me.
It’s purely subjective, of course, but to me women should be smooth. I had a girlfriend once who “went natural,” though, and I managed to get past it (so to speak).
IMO, men should leave bodily hair alone, except, perhaps, for shaving the face. With apologies to kitarak, I’ve always thought that pit shaving for males was, well, effeminate. Again, this is only a personal bias and I know perfectly well it isn’t true. I’m certainly not accusing anyone of anything.
All of this is social convention anyway. And it seems to be changing, if the previous posts are an indication. One day we may all be hairless. After all, that’s what clothing is for.
AHunter3 said it best, as usual. I’ve noticed he is the one male Doper who is consistently the most enlightened when it comes to women. Any woman who gets him is lucky.
Interesting factoid: In the Islamic tradition, men and women alike get rid of both pubic hair and pit hair. The reasons they give for it are different from what’s been mentioned here: they say it “cools the body” in hot climates. What they do when living in the Yukon, I don’t know.
I personally love women, all women, naturally, as they were meant to be. Mrs. Mojo has never shaved her legs, not once in her entire life, and do I ever love her for it. Her leg her is so exquisitely feminine, so fine and soft, like a dream. I’m a lucky man! <swoon>
I support all you women who don’t shave. Don’t let this society’s petty prejudices pressure you into attacking your body with a sharp blade. Love yourselves as you are, and I and many other men will love you for it too.
The irony of a razor manufacturer advertising “the Goddess in you” to get women to shave their legs is painful. Exploiting the current popularity of Goddessism for commercial gain. Most of the real Goddess women I have known were comfortable with their natural body hair. IMHO, that razor company is earning major karmic demerits.
Along with my support for women’s body hair, we men also need support for keeping our own body hair. I don’t put down women for keeping their body hair because I know how it hurts my feelings for women to put me down for having a hairy body. Hairy back and all. You don’t like it? Your loss. Mrs. Mojo loves me as I am. That includes my (neatly trimmed) beard.
:o Awww!
No offence taken. I shave because I want to, not because I care about what others think of it. Besides, I don’t consider being somewhat effeminate to be a bad thing. Conventional gender roles are awfully restrictive. No, I’m not a transvestite, transexual or anything like that (although I am of course perfectly ok with those who are); I just think that the standard rules of 'You shouldn’t do X because you’re male/female" are optional (physiology permitting). That’s not to say I don’t often follow them, but in general it’s only because I want to.
However, that’s a huge hijack, so lets leave it at that. Please continue with your regularily scheduled thread.
Is it more enlightened to prefer women’s body hair in one configuration as opposed to another? I suppose it may be unenlightened to be totally grossed out by a natural woman, but merely expressing a preference speaks to enlightenedness? Hmm.
