Why Do You Have A Sig Line & What Does It Say About Your Personality?

I see a lot of sig lines and some make sense whereas others are really off the wall. What does your sig line say about your personality? Are sig lines necessary?

I have a sig just because I like to be able to share something interesting that wouldn’t fit anywhere else. Generally, it’s a quote from school. Decide what you will about my personality.

I have a sig line because I’m shallow enough to be summed up in a single short paragraph.

Actually I’m using the current one because I think it works quite well on this particular board :slight_smile:

My sig line is what I have tattooed on my ass, above the boat propellers. Um… I guess it says something about my personality. Basically, 40 knots is really fast for a large ship to be going, so if there’s no smoke, it means your engine can handle high speed.

My sig says 4 years of latin at a Catholic Highschool made me not only able to spell nearly anything but know the root and conjugation…it also says I live up to my reputation as a heteroclite. :slight_smile:

I chose mine because it’s a constant reminder of what I need to do more often.

I can’t tell you how often this particular quote has prevented me from saying something prior to thinking. If only it was 100% foolproof.

I like the opportunity to write a brief witticism or story-let. Over the past couple of years I’ve been able to write out quite a few that have been troubling my mind for years. My first was:

“Tell Zeno that I’m willing to meet him halfway.”
But my favorite was:

“Of course,” said my gandfather, pulling a gun from his belt as he stepped from the Time Machine," There’s no paradox if I shoot you!"

I’ve been online for about 20 years now, in one form or another. Not having some kind of .sig just feels weird.
