He pissed off libtards. That’s it. That’s all that matters.
There have been threads like this before. I’ve started a couple myself. Trumpniks ignore the threads and the discussion wind up being speculation about why people support him. It’s a first that clothy actually stated some vague opinions, though he has not been back to explain or defend them. Probably because that’s not possible.
I’m reading/listening to a wonderful novel called Everyone Brave Is Forgiven, which takes place in Britain during WWII. This morning I came across something that called thump voters to mind: the author tells how as the Germans matched into Paris, the old Parisian men staged their personal protest by lining up at the pissoirs and urinating noisily, directing the stream at the back of the public, metal urinals. They didn’t notice that the pee was splashing back on their own shoes.
Note/disclaimer ('cause I know some Dopers are terminally literal-minded): the essence of the comparison is that the protest has “splashed back” on many trumpsters, okay? Not comparing anyone to Hitler. Also, if this story is apocryphal, it still makes a point.
Why do you trust North Korea more than Iran? You’re very gullible.
History has shown that Trump uses or borrows the money from others and leaves them holding the empty bag. This time is not different.
Sure that it looks nice at the beginning when an irresponsible guy gets one a lot of shiny new things on credit… until one (not the guy that made the borrowing) needs to make payments.
I think it’s go) g to come down to “you can operate a coal mine cheaply and hire lots more coal miners if you don’t have pesky health and safety regulations standing in your way”.
He previously posted a link to a really astonishing Newsweek article that purported to list them. Astonishing because the “accomplishments” were things like pulling out of the Paris climate accords, appointing a lunatic to the EPA and subsequent dismantling of vital environmental regulations, pushing coal as a fuel source, approving offshore oil drilling almost everywhere (except Florida because, you know, wouldn’t want to spill any oil on Mar-A-Lago) and so on and so on in the same vein. The “accomplishments” are, in short, like the doomsday scenario of a very bad nightmare, where you wake up relieved that it was only a bad dream. Except this is real.
Yet they continue going off in the other threads like clockwork, doing their cherry picking/straw manning/concern trolling/selective ignoring of evidence/etc. etc. ad nauseum.
“No, I don’t want to actually go to bat for the essobee with any specifics, but I’ll continue doing these indirectly supporting, hopelessly partisan gyrations here, there, and everywhere, thankyouverymuch. But nope, I won’t actually stand up for the bastard directly, are you kidding?”
That, right there, is the essence of moral cowardice. Hell, Bricker was on record as voting for Hillary, yet since then he’s right there in ye olde conga line doing his very best high kicking routine.
Thanks to Trump? What did he do? He’s no more responsible for the situation in the Koreas than I am.
I respectfully disagree. Moon Jae-in is now terrified that the lunatic will get them all killed and so started his own carefully considered diplomatic strategy. Another win for Trump!
When you have some evidence for this that exists outside of your own mind, please come back and present it.
Which lunatic are you referring to?
Actually, it wasn’t trump. It was Dennis Rodman and his most recent trip to NK that set this all up. Dennis Rodman even took credit for this but he is apparently not asking for a Nobel.
So, no matter what Fox tells you, it was Rodman who made this all possible.
The one that’s on the grass?
Took me a minute. Well done. Not sure what side of the moon this shit is on though.
From overhearing conversations at public places, Trump supporters generally think Obama was soft on crime and sympathized with lawbreakers too much. There’s also a feeling that Trump should be able to strip away the ever slow and kludgy bureaucratic process, but he faces too many obstacles from those bureaucrats who want to keep their jobs. There’s also the fear among whites that their rights are being taken away, and their jobs are being given to illegal immigrants. I even also heard “if you don’t want the cops to shoot at you, don’t run away!”
It’s the same mindset that thinks evolution is evil, primarily because it means change that doesn’t favor their comfort zone. They don’t want to adapt to change, even though it’s inevitable. It all boils down to feeling their way of life is unjustly met with disapproval, and I think the elitist attitudes of “progressives” doesn’t help.
Now THAT’s funny. Let’s prove them wrong by sending his criminal ass to prison. Sheessss.
Got to start somewhere, right?
Well, let’s see…
He’s a bully, a narcissist, childish, threatens to shut the gov’t down if he doesn’t get his wall or whatever else he wants, doesn’t care if the national parks are destroyed, doesn’t care for regulations of any kind, is a misogynist, a racist; he lies constantly, would love to bring back any forms of torture, wants women penalized for abortions, thinks that anything he doesn’t want to hear is fake news, thinks his wall is actually feasible and a good idea, is belligerent, doesn’t care to read or educate himself, has fired one advisor after another or pushed them to resign, and… Do I really need to go on?
What is there to like?
Fro Clothy, that’s what he likes. Stupid is as stupid does.
And just once, I would like somebody to explain what it means to “make America great again.”
Of course, I have my own ideas on how we could be great. Or good. Or better. But I am also sure that my ideas do not align with DT’s.
