Just a quick question that the only people who’ll agree with me on are people who’ve actually lived in china for more than 3 months (I couldnt make it past 3 months outside of hong kong).
So if you don’t know what I’m talking about… In china people spit in public all the time, everyone is going around spitting on everything. They do not show common courtesy when driving or in public. Often times you’ll be on a bus and have two old people yelling at each other, or the guy behind you on the phone yelling at his wife. Theres no regard for other people over there, they do not care about you or showing you respect. The people there are so prone to scamming and deceiving that if you see someone lying seemingly dead on the streets, your best bet is to stay away from them if you don’t want the cops called on you for knocking them to the ground. The cops are corrupt and hate foreigners, they’ll take the word of a chinese person over a foreigner any day.
I’ve never had food poisoning in my life, didn’t even know what it really was… until I ate chinese food. Which chinese food isn’t what we think of chinese food being. When I think about chinese food I think about a chicken having its head chopped off in front of me then stuffed into a bag. They leave fresh meat sitting in the sun all day long, and I’m assuming the restaurants buy this tainted food hence why everyone I know who has been to china has gotten food poisoning at least once.
In china nothing is held sacred, if you make an amazing drawing or product, people will steal it, sell a shittier cheaper version, and nobody cares. People rip each other off constantly, it’s like living in a two thousand year old middle eastern country trying to haggle with everybody, most of the time if you don’t know what you’re doing you’ll be ripped off.
So my question is simple. Why the china a shithole society. Not just their country but their people and their norms. It’s by all means a terrible place to live and it’s depressing. I imagine the bulk of people who know anything about china only stayed maybe a few days in Hong Kong then assume the rest of the country is like that. I remember learning that the Japanese stole and implemented much of Chinese culture into their own. So why is Japan like Heaven in contrast to china being hell? Japan everyone is respectful, there aren’t whores trying to scam you on the street corners. People don’t try to rip you off daily, you don’t have to haggle to get a reasonable price on stuff. You aren’t constantly under threat of being robbed or targeted for trying to be a good person. They don’t spit everywhere, their food is safe and doesn’t give you food poisoning. Their country is better developed, the people are smarter, and the women care about their appearances even if they arent prostitutes. They wear masks when they’re sick to avoid getting you sick, they wash their hands and their public toilets are actually cleaned once in a while.
I’ve said this before, the chinese people remind me of the people from my home in the states. They’re a bunch of ignorant rednecks, the only difference is our people won’t let you die on the streets even if they’re racist and dont like you. They’re good people, but I cannot say the same about the chinese. This isn’t just a handful of people, actually go to china and see what it’s like for yourselves. The ONLY people who are somewhat decent are the younger people in their 20s or teens. Everyone else and even many of the youth are terrible people. I can’t fathom how terrible it would be to live in this kind of society your entire life. It’s extremely depressing and really makes you appreciate the political correctness and common courtesy we have here in the states.
Edit: Oh yeah and china is worst than Detroit. Never been robbed, mugged, or even threatened in detroit in the ghetto. Yet China, not even a few weeks in I had been robbed, and scammed. Had a man with a knife take my money, phone, wallet, and food. Police did nothing, I never got my phone, money, or wallet back. I was basically told to fuck off and go home. I’m 100% serious about that.
