Things can be wrong without being automatic condemnation to Heck. That’s kinda the whole point of Jesus dying for our sins; if we acknowledge our wrongs and ask for His intercession, we can get off scot free (so to speak)

Soooo . . . they’ve been mean to her, and we’ve been friendly and accepting (on the whole) and this is how she reacts?
Well, it could be what DuckDuckGoose said–that she’s just “coming out of the closet” now, so to speak–but my take is that she’s found an online community that makes her feel more included (we at the SDMB can be a rather contentious bunch), and so has sort of adopted that community mindset without question.
I did the same thing myself, once, only it wasn’t about GOD, it was about DOG(s). (Same thing, only backwards.) Eventually the uber-rigid attitudes of that forum about THE ONE SINGLE CORRECT way to acquire/raise/feed/train a dog got to be too much even for me, but for awhile, I was DRIVING the bandwagon, and giving hell to anyone who thought differently.
Now, I still have some ideas about dog training–for example, I don’t feel like I’d EVAH use a shock collar (though I do threaten my dogs with the possibility when they piss me off . . . ;))–but I have now relaxed a considerably on, for example, what to feed a dog (a few years ago, I would NEVER have purchased DOG CHOW–heaven forbid!–for my Girls, even if buying the more expensive “message board approved” food would have left me eating Ramen for a week), and am much less judgmental about the way other folks do it, unless they’re downright abusive.
The point is that sometimes these things happen–internet communities can so easily go Stepford on you–but eventually you come back to yourself. Hopefully.

Here is a clue for those nosey types. A certain place named after a cheesy yummy thing had a thread about someone who had an alternative view on who the next messiah would be. Certain beastly types left evidence in that thread.
Of course! It is the herd/flock instinct. At the end of the day you run to those who you feel are most like you. Vanilla already knows that her “flock” is here. She is just giving the nasties the last run for their money.

In short, the worst thing you can do…in the whole world…is to not believe that jesus took the rap for all of us. Rape, murder, theft, and waging war are all forgiveable if you accept christianity.

Hey I wouldn’t want to make anyone feel they had to defend somewhere they felt comfortable. If you can look me in the eye and tell me that there are not at least 5 threads where you defended homosexuality and were not shouted down, that is fine.
If there is not another thread in the “Collesium” where you defended the sdmb and it’s decision to go pay (and very well for a losing battle) then I will eat my hat.
