Hey, tarra! Do you check back in on the local news from when you lived out this way? After we moved here 8 years ago, I would read the Jacksonville news on line for a couple of years, till I got bored with it. Now when I go to that site, it’s like opening the news on Tulsa (where I’ve never been.)
I don’t know why this occurred to me, but there ya go!

I get some real winner whinin’ at irk. A program participant called to ask why he had to fill out all those papers (all two of ‘em!) he was sent in the mail to recertify. Basically it’s all to confirm that we have current info, and to find out if there are any changes goin’ on such as income that could have an effect on either stayin’ in the program or gettin’ an extension if that is the case and yes it is required. Failure to do so is noncompliance and will result in bein’ bye byed. Thus, be an adult and do it. Da bear does not tolerate well the idea of havin’ to babysit adults.

I’m temporarily in limbo - waiting for feedback on 2 drawing packages and unable to start another because I haven’t yet been taught how to do a drawing from scratch using this system and my coworker won’t be here till 9-ish. Oh well… twiddle twiddle…

Maybe they can get a lawyer to do it for them. The same ones that will properly fill out birth certificate applications, or file you disability applications for you. For a small fee, of course.
Dave’s been working quite a bit of mischief here this week! Today’s was the best by far. We always had an ‘argument’ of Miracle Whip (him) vs. Mayo (me) and so today I had a plastic jar of mayonnaise sitting up high in my garage. It fell on the floor and KABOOM! Mayo everywhere. 
Good thing I have someone to blame it on or else I wouldn’t have thought it was so funny.

I test-printed the bookmarks I’m going to sell. There’s a lot of small adjustments to make, which isn’t surprising. I need to buy some glossy photo paper for a few of them, and possibly a paper cutter of my own. Or I’ll just borrow my parents’.
I am indeed unreasonable. I do expect grown ups to handle grownup things.
flytrap I am the area manager for a program that provides job training and placement for “older adults” meanin’ those age 55 or older. You know, folks old enough to know better. I inherited a huge headache as my predecessor(s) did not ride herd enough on staff and program participants so things got real slack. I have spent a good almost nine months deslackin’ the place both staff and participant wise. One day, I shall be free of all who would slack and not cooperate. On that day fluffy puppies and kitties and unicorns shall dance upon rainbows for my amusement.
Deluded? Moi? Why ever would you think such a thing!

N.O.L. has been et. Not quite fluffy puppies and kitties and unicorns dancin’ on rainbows but I am happier.
You ate fluffy puppies and kittehs and dancing unicorns for N. O. L.? Big appetite. One cat (the Other White Meat) usually fills me up… 
It was just a little fluffy puppy/kitty/unicorn stew over rice. I’m savin’ the rainbow for a snack later on.

Hello all.
I need kitty advice.
The twin terrors are doing fine (and yes, I’m breaking the rule by not posting photos, but honestly, these two have some sort of quantum stealth device. No picture of them has come out yet). They’ve put on weight, gotten their second round of shots, and have massacred more than their fair share of kitty toys. They’re now fifteen weeks old.
Trouble is, Cleopatra is already going into heat. I have both of them scheduled to be spayed Friday after this. In the meantime, I have a very confused kitty wandering around looking for something, getting more and more uncomfortable, and getting louder and louder.
Can I do anything to make her more comfortable? Or, if I can’t make her more comfortable, can I at least get her to be quiet? I really don’t need my neighbors complaining about the noise.
Is she spraying? If she’s only noisy and it’s only another couple of days, just give her lots of cuddles and skritches. And be sure to give as many to the other kitteh, or there may be a jealous feud. If she is spraying, then I don’t know what to tell you
