Why is Cricetus drinking whiskey and beer?

To celebrate “the downing of the boilermakers.”

I must confess, I feared for the fate of my fellow rodents when it was 4th and goal in the first OT, and may have mumbled a few things about Glen Mason. But all’s well that ends well. Bring on the Nittany Lions! Bring on the Wolverines!

I’m sorry, that is simply not part of the script. Michigan is going to win that game as part of fate’s “continually screw with wolfman” agenda. Michigan is going to keep winning and slowly climb back up the rankings, unitl they are around 5-6 going into the OSU game. At that point against all my better judgement I will allow my self to hope becuase it will be conciveable that Michigan could make it to the championship game. At that point one of two things will happen. Michigan will beat OSU, go into a BCS bowl and get beaten by a higher ranked team, ripping my heart out again. Or else they will lose against OSU, but go into a bowl game against a high ranked team and destroy them, There by causing me to go the whole off-season with unrealistic hopes that maybe next year they get it together.

Poor Wolverines. The Gophers haven’t been to a bowl game anyone cares about since the 1960’s.

And history is definitely against them with the Wolverines, who have won something like the last 40 contests (I do not exaggerate). But I have a funny feeling that this is the year. Maybe it’s because I saw the Irish hand them their asses a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder how you’ll do in the Battle of the Mustelidae.

What kind of whiskey/beer?

Heh. So far it’s been figurative whiskey and beer, but I do have some James Page in the fridge and three or four varieties of whiskey in the cupboard. I guess I’d go for the Tullamore Dew.

Yeah but that doesn’t matter. Michigan always plays like shit against Notre Dame. I think he last time Michigan beat em in a year the Wolverines had a chance, was when Jesus could have attended the game personally.

So, um… how was today’s game, Wolfman?

: ducks :

I could answer that Cricetus…
(But that might be the last game we win*, so I won’t gloat)

  • Except for Indiana, of course.

The Lions squeeked through in the last few minutes, but if they don’t start playing better, I have no doubt that your team will take them.
