In my limited experience, even women that were ‘into it’ - some subset of that 36%, presumably - still considered it an alternate activity. Vaginal sex was the staple; anal the occasional option.

Seriously, I think this is a porn thing, at least amongst my peer group. Maybe the younger generation digs it, but even men that I’ve dated (and there have been a few) were mostly not keen at all. One guy pestered me constantly, one guy said only if I was super keen (uh, no) and all the other have ranged from ‘no thanks’ to ‘eww, that’s nasty’.
