For some odd reason, Hillary is the first candidate for any political office, I’ve ever felt BAD FOR, that she didn’t win.
And it’s odd cause I didn’t agree with a lot of what she said or stood for. And I’m talking any candidate for any office regardless of state or federal level.
Other candidates I highly supported lost and I didn’t feel bad for them on a personal level when the lost. I guess it shows something, I’m not sure what though.
I was no fan of hers in 2008, but was fairly “devoted” this time. Experience, integrity and good policies are hard to find in a candidate for President. Standing up to so many baseless allegations was also admirable.
I would echo these comments. In addition, I’d reiterate her ability to dust herself off and back into the fray every time she was knocked down. I think in many ways she’s kind of served as a microcosm for many women about the way they’ve been treated in their working life, and the ability to keep fighting against it has endeared quite a few folks to her.
I’d probably say I love Hillary and all she’s fought for, even in the face of unfair accusations, trying to derail her from the fight for women, children, and minorities.
I think it was pretty widely reported that Clinton had a high disapproval rating. As did Trump. Sure some people love her but I don’t think you can say she was “so loved.”
I could never get behind the whole “experience” and “Career Politician” thing. Other than serving as a senator from 2001, there is no other political experience. (And she was arguably elected largely because of name recognition, because her husband had been president.) Beyond that her adult life was as a college professor. Unless you want to call being First Lady of Arkansas, and First Lady of the USA as political experience. Being a wife isn’t experience. Political or otherwise.
Secretary of State doesn’t count as political experience?
She won the senate seat for 3 reasons. If Giuliani hadn’t dropped out to fight cancer there was a good chance of her losing. So: 1) Rick Lazio wasn’t nearly the opponent that Giuliani would have been. 2) due to demographics democrats have a big advantage in New York. 3) obviously her name and high profile.
