Why is hotmail freezing up my browser on my home computer?

As of last weekend, I can no longer check my hotmail account at home because the page loads and then freezes completely. I checked it at work today and all appeared as normally as it always has. Was there a change in hotmail last week that would make this happen?

If not, why would my computer suddenly freak out on it? I clean my cache and history almost daily, so I don’t think it’s that. I’m running Windows XP and do use a pop-up blocker, but that’s never messed with it before.

Any ideas?

I’ve had the same thing happen to me. Did you change anything? I signed up with Verizon DSL and installed the software that they gave me.

Nope, I haven’t even installed any new programs.

Just a friendly bump to see if anyone knows.

Have you tried disabling the pop-up blocked to see if that helps? Do you have XP SP1 or SP2? Is your cipher strength 128 bit? Do you have a firewall?

Weird. Same thing happened to me today for several hours. between about 10 and 4, my Hotmail log-in screen showed up, but would never sign-in, leaving me with either a connection time-out or a blank page. I logged in through my mobile phone without a problem during this time, though.
