When ever I use one computer, after about five minutes I have a huge urge to crap (only the first time I use the computer). It doesn’t even seem to happen at a regular time, because I use this computer at different times during the day. This doesn’t happen when I use my old glorifyed typewriter of a computer, not does it happen when I use the Computers at school.
The only difference I can see between all these computers is the chair. My old computer has one of those big ergonomic chairs (that is a hassel to adjust, but is comfortable when you do get it adjusted). The computers at school have cheap chair chairs (four legs, a platform and a back, nothing fancy).
Where as thte computer that causes me problems has a small computer chair with no ergonomic features beyond vertical adjustment, and a cusion on the bottom and back.
Is it possible that this chair causes me to want to crap?
I’m not so sure that sitting in a certain chair (or sitting with a certain posture) is likely to hit your “I have to poop” button. I’m not a doctor either, so you never know.
However, have you considered that it may be some sort of conditioned response? Do you get on that computer right after a meal? Do you tend to smoke or otherwise use tobacco while at the computer? Is there anything else that you do when you use that computer that may give you the “urge”?
I’m surprised I didn’t contribute to that thread; used to be going into a bookstore would make me have to pinch one off too. For some reason, bookstores stopped having that effect on me.
Actually the chair that I’m in right now has a similar effect. Perhaps it’s because I rest my feet on the nearby regular chair and lean back. Actually, if I feel some rumbles and want to speed up the process (which I’m actually doing right now) I go to this chair and within minutes, I’m gone. I’d like to know why as well…
